ProV1Oh, and I really like Quezada. Running, catching, attitude. Heaps, Juice, Hoffman, Apo, et al, I like my next few years.

Ah, Juice Quezada! The new flavor of the day! He's the answer to all of our woes! If only we could just play him more! He'd solve all our offensive problems!

I trust Bronco for the most part. But given this season is a wash anyway, give the young guys a chance as well. I think its time to give up on the whole reloading fantasy.

Unga could lay a block in the backfield though. Quezada hasn't shown that yet, and that's why he doesn't get in much.

Are you actually seeing this or just assuming it? I honestly haven't seen him in games much at all except when JJ voluntarily take a breather and usually he's taking a handoff or releasing.

I don't think anyone ever doubted that Quezada could run effectively--he did it all camp. It's the rest of the role that he needs to pick up at this point, especially with Heaps in at QB. Until he learns how to effectively pick up blocks in pass protection Quezada and all his running talent is going to spend alot of time on the sidelines. Basically you have to decide which player you want to grow up on the field this season: Heaps or Quezada. If they are both on the field together too often at this point, Heaps is going off the field on a stretcher at some point, because right now Quezada is offering about as much pass protection as Napolean Dynamite.

I fear our coaches have the same ignorant view as kitic expresses above. "Is he more talented? Yes. But screw that!"
It's been obvious all year long that they have been under-utilizing good players for worse upperclassmen. Nelson V. Heaps. Ashworth V. Hoffman. Kariya V. Quezada is just case #12 against Bronco and company. Kariya sucks as a runner, too slow, too slow, too slow. Quezada is our 2nd best offensive player right now. I've been saying since the Washington game that he needs more touches, and four games later stupid Anae still doesn't get it.
