scott715I was wondering, will it be tougher for us in our national schdule to have missionaries leaving and returning to the program unless most of them take a redshirt when they return?

This has been, will be and always is going to be an issue with BYU. I think coaches are now trying to either get mission kids to go on missions first then redshirt after when possible. Until recently, BYU never had a decent RM QB. So issues can be overcome with talent and hard work.

tripwireI would love to see BYU play in Michigan. I live absolutely nowhere near Ann Arbor. (I just checked, 930 miles, that's a lot closer than Provo) but I would seriously think about traveling to that game.

CougarbibA few if you missed the point - Notre Dame already gets it's pick of 4 and 5 star recruits and when they muss a few that they want make last minute offers to steal the best recruits from others including us - and they find themselves 1-3 again with less chance of a winning season than BYU even after firing about three coaches in a row. They haven't had a good season in a long time and a great one any time recently - but r thought to be "back" every year due to their recruiting class or most recent wonderkind new coach.
U do not want to play that schedule no matter who you recruit - especially if your players need to meet an honor code.
On that note - instead of being furious with coaches and players on the field - I am peeved at Harvey Unga, and the kahuku kid that got booted and his cousin that transferred because he didn't like the role the team needed to play.
If those guys stepped up - Heaps or Neldon would have enjoyed better blocking, had less pressure due to run threat, and we would have had added depth at DB. I also get peeved at the LDS kids that decided not to attend BYU. And I support the players that did come here, work hard, and do what the coaches need them to do.

CougarbibPS - check how bama and Florida opponents rank at the end of the season after the east coast bias wears off. So, if you play ranked teams play overrated ones early.
That conf champ game, though, is a problem and is why the Big 12 is happy to no longer have one.
