Wow, so the guy probably got one or two funny looks walking down the street in Provo and all the sudden it's the 1960's all over again? I would be offended if I were an African American and read that. I mean, they were lynching people for the fun of it back then. He shouldn't belittle what blacks went through back then (especially in the South) over something so trivial.





I'm sure this guy also saw nothing offensive at all when SDSU fans dressing up like missionaries for the basketball game

Does anyone apply any logic to what this guy is saying? He is accusing the BYU football team of yelling racial slurs at SDSU's players all game. Well if that were true, how do you think the black players on our team would feel about that? I have heard this over and over from other teams and it just doesn't make sense to me but yet the media drinks it all in because it fits the template of a mostly white/conservative private religious school. It makes me sick. :sick:

I've heard poly's in utah use the N word to refer to themselves. It's not that uncommon.

Wonder what kind of religious slurs are being thrown at our guys...

Lost all credibility when he got to Provo = Alabama back in the day. I doubt a black person or any person for that matter would feel unsafe in Downtown Provo.

I don't know, with all the smack Chambers talks, it wouldn't surprise me if even HE were using racial slurs to the other team :P :lol:



Not to mention how all the Polynesians on our team would feel... yeah, sorry, I just don't see any of our players doing that.

Also done. The reason people get away with slander like this against Mormons is because we turn the other freaking cheek. Gays, Jews, and Muslims have well organized resistance to such hate speech. It's about damn time we Mormons quit taking it.

I don't think the point of his message was that you completely let untrue and hateful hate speech simply "slide." Is that the stance of the church on sin as well? Or do things need to be done?



Lighting the guys house on fire would be one thing, but writing to the radio station to let them know how you feel about his mormon hate-speech is completely fine and I highly doubt Pres. Uchtdorf would look down on it.



EDIT - I just realized I said "hateful hate" speech, but you know what, I'm gonna keep it that way, because I think it's awesome.
