I would like to think that following this disastrous year, the BYU coaches may rethink their aversion to playing freshmen.

If anything I think this year reinforces the notion that true freshmen, regardless of their hype and talent, are not ready to start at the D1 level.

Agreed.

Matt Marshall isn't the Scout Team QB, he's only the scout team OPTION QB, which he volunteers for when we have to play an option team since he ran the option at Skyline. I am curious who is the real QB for the scout team on a week to week basis. Anybody know this?

How long til he gets "Omer-ed" and becomes just another overhyped "fast" white guy that wouldn't start for any other top 50 team?

Should we look to the exception or the rule?

So who are all of the upper-classmen who have been stepping up?

Chambers? Hafoka? Ashworth? Jacobsen? Bradley?

I probably missed ten more.

I for one am glad BYU has waited to let Philips, Fabuluje, Rowley, Apo(hopefully), and many other talented young guys redshirt.

I believe Rowley, Fabuluje, and Apo have ALL played this year.

Six months. The only chance he has is if he KNOWS what workouts he did to get fast, WHY those workouts made him fast, and REFUSES to stop doing them just because he's in this program. I hope he realizes he's by far the fastest guy on the team for a reason.

Well gee, looks like there can be juniors and sophomores who aren't ready to play at D1 either.
