Interesting that the first time Gordon Mobson says what BYU fans want to hear, he gains sudden credibility regarding the quality of his facts and research and unbiased nature.

BTW - I never have like Monson, have always thought Anae was stubborn re running what he wants to prove he can do vs taking what the D gives him.

Bronco has stated that Bronco lacks expertise on the offense and has confidence in Anae. Bronco needs to seek objective input so he can develop an informed opinion.

Bronco knows a number of people that could give pluses and minuses.

But if Anae truly has list credibility with other coaches and the players, Nronco will understand that.

But the stmts that Donan is highly frustrated with Anae are a stretch if based on the recent quote that BYU couldn't follow the game plan. He may have just meant that YCU took them out of it.

I don't know. But has anyone actually got a source where Doman is reLly indicating frustration with Anae.

BTW, if you read Bribco's quotes today, it is a real stretch to conclude that more practice snaps for Heaps and game 1 starter role for Heaps would have somehow prepared him to win more games.

He, like almost every other true Freshman QB in history, is just nit ready yet.

I think your post was too long for your iphone

Definitely the post of the day! Bribco? Is that a some sort of Freudian slip?

I don't think I am going to become a fan of Monson's articles any time soon. Just because he stepped out of his normal persona and wrote a decent article doesn't make him a good journalist.

Monson didn't didn't have to be a great journalist to get this right. Many posters on this board feel the same way.

To his credit Monson did; however, actually speak with some BYU players.

Which is why I actually liked the article. Normally Monson just spouts off a bunch of negative opinions with no basis in fact. I don't like negativity just for negativity sake but if you have facts and interviews to back up your facts, then the criticizm has the possibility of being productive.

Say what you will about Monson, but I would say his assessment and analysis of BYU has been spot on this year. Good article in a series of articles lambasting the leadership of our team and the offense. The three things Monson has been most vocal about:

#1 - The folly of the two quarterback system. (Anyone care to argue this?)

#2 - The leadership failure, indecision, and seemingly incoherent nature of the coaching staff - particularly Mendenhall before the Hill firing (Again, any takers to argue this point?)

#3 - The need for Anae to be removed

Call me crazy, but he has clearly articulated what I would consider to be my three biggest disappointments of this season. There is no way we should be a 2-5 season, even with a freshman quarterback.

13 yards.

So basically Monson summarizes the thoughts and discussions on this board the last month and writes a 14-inch article about it.

Yeah... That's what Anae said about reading TCU's defense :bug:

Also, Air Force, Florida St., Nevada, and Utah St.'s as well. :~(

Like Anae... Maybe we should read what others throw our way.

There are two things I wont read because it just pollutes your mind and retards the mind.

1. Anti-Mormon literature

2. Gordon Monson (see #1)

First of all - sorry for the 7:00AM (my time) iphone post. I won't say what I was dong while I typed it, but I did hear a loud flushing sound right afterwards.

I have bad eyes and my iphone does "self-correct" magic that creates typos run amuck and I can't always see them. At the bottom, I can't even scroll down. I went back and fixed it.

I am with Kitic on this one - the cynical side of me suggested this would happen (I alluded to this in another post yesterday where someone suggested sending that thread to Bronco, and I suggested sending it to the Prophet since just about everyone else including Bronco had been called out in the thread).

But I said to be sure not to get confused (Gordon B. Hinkley Vs Thomas S. Monson). There were many years as a BYU fan I was inactive in the Church and had no idea who the prophet was but knew exactly who BYU was recruiting) and end up sending it to Gordon Monson.

I think that must have happened - much easier than interviewing players and coaches
