I can not believe the LIES that occur on this board. I was at the game and have been at every Utah home game for over 7 years (season tickets in the north endzone). I take my children to the game all the time and, 95% of the time, there is nothing that occurs that I wouldn't want my children to hear/see. The posts here EXACTLY the reason why the "holier than thou" stigma is put on BYU. As if there aren't fans at BYU that go over the limit and as if these things don't happen at every other football stadium in the country. Am I ashamed at some of the things that Utah fans do....occasionally. Does that stop me from taking my kids....no, it is a great teaching moment. I live "in the world, but not of the world". Instead, you posters seem to think its better to live outside of the world and not of the world. Believe me, if you shelter your kids from everything their entire life, it comes back to hurt them later down the road.

Please don't comment on the atmosphere at Utah unless you can speak first hand. I was there, and the language was no worse than you would hear in your child's school classes.....and the lady that went without clotheswas NOT obese, but very attractive (which is why she was getting cheered!). The lies and attitude on this board.....amazing.

So......lady w/o clothes is within the 95% acceptable part?

Hey - if your kids are going to oogle nudies, they had better at least be good lookin' nudies ;)

Oh, sorry, the attractive drunk off her butt lady makes it all better then right. I agree, if my kids were there i would prefer them seeing a hot stripper as opposed to an obese one.

i am sure we are all exxagerating here. we know what pushes you ute fans' buttons. you should just let it go.

I disagree with ute4ever. But not from personal experience. I havea co-worker who is a Ute season ticket holder, in the north end zone, and he has family affilaited in the U athletic department. He is also a convert to the church. He says the language at U games is not great, but about as bad as what he has heard at UMiami games, where he has season tickets previously. He cringes at times because he attends with his 11 year old nephew.

So I suppose if the U wants to be compared to other schools like Miami, USC, Penn State, etc., where drink culture and other elements can cause poor fan behavior, then things are fine at RES. But if they want a higher standard comparison, the stadium is found wanting in regards to foul language used. Again, the avergae U fan is not necessarily the problem, just the ones who have to go out of their way to be Utah counter culture, and wear it like a badge of honor. Let's not act like that vocal minority does not exist at the U. It does.

I can't stand RES. I went to the last game BYU played there. When Max Hall completed more passes to Utah than BYU. In the 4th qtr when Utah pulled away... The Ute fans were to most disrespectful fans I've ever encountered. Every time Utah scored, the fans behind me would hit me in the back and the back of my head.

OU fans handled their loss to us WAY BETTER than Utah handled their win against us.

My brother in law who is a Ute through and through, said he was extremely embarassed with his own "kind". Just walking out of that annoying stadium, I had three seperate Ute fans try to pic a fight. Pushing, shoving, yelling, even throwing stuff all AFTER they beat my team!

I will never go there again AND I definitely will not be taking my kids there.

With that being said, yes Utah does have their good and well respected fans too. It's the negative ones that leave the lasting impression.

Quit wasting your time on our forum, telling us how bad we are WHEN YOU SHOULD BE PREACHING THIS TO YOUR OWN KIND!

Yeah... Tell me how that would go.

Hey junior! See that "very attractive" lady stripping over there??? Even though she's "attractive" you shouldn't be looking at her. Now finish your snow cone. By the time you'll be done, I'll teach you another "object lesson" on how to avoid temptation when she's completely naked.

Oh, and get out a pen, I'm about to give you a list of words that we will hear today that we don not use. make sure to write these all down, just so you know that we do not use them.....

For object lessons, I just take my kid straight to the strip club. "Son, I never want to see you in here, I don't want to see you dating girls like those half-naked ones on stage, I don't want to see you drinking what those guys are drinking, using the words that they are using, or smoking what they are smoking. Now go ask the bartender to change this twenty into ones."

The more I expose my kids to terrible things, the more "object lessons" I can teach them.

I talked to a ute season ticket holder yesterday about the game and he is getting very sick of all the crap that goes on at Utah games. In his opinion the MUSS is the worst thing that the administration could have done. He said that the MUSS has this mob mentality that makes things even worse then ever. It used to be that Rice Eccles was a family friendly environment much like LES is but that has changed dramatically since the MUSS began.

He said that between the outrageous signs, the foul language, how they treat opposing fans and all the puking that he personally witnesses in the stands he is this close to not renewing his season tickets for next year. He would almost rather watch the game on tv so that he wouldn't have to see all of the crap that goes on.

This guy was beyond embarrassed about what went on during the TCU game. He was rather upset and said that if the administration doesn't do something about it that he is canceling his season tickets. He will still be a fan but only from his couch.

From my own personal experience at Rice Chex I have made a vow never to return for a football game. It was a horrible experience. I would encourage anybody going to the game this year, or any year, to NOT bring your wives or children. It will not be worth it even if BYU wins.

Hey! Good for you! You've got to be "in the world but not of the world" That's why I take my kids to rated "R" movies at an early age, so they know what they'll be facing in the world. They shouldn't be in a "bubble"

Also, seat belts are for stupid people too! You want to be "in the car but not of the car" so we don't wear those things!

I attended BYU vs FSU this year. FSU has a reputation as a party school, and their fans were out in force tailgating before the game. But at almost every tailgate we passed we were welcomed to Tallahassee and wished good luck.

*That* does not happen at RES.

Granted, it probably doesn't happen when Utes visit Provo either.

You guys are all too quick to judge.

I figured she was the wife of a TCU player and she had beer tossed on her.

You want proof?

She was attractive. Clearly she couldn't be a Ute fan.

It might be time to bust out the iPhones at this year's game and post proof of the truth. FuriousMonkey could edit them all together and show the Pac 12 what they're getting.

While I am not Austin Collie, do you think if I was living right something like that--strip dancing--would happen in front of me? You know so I could use it as a teaching moment or some other helpful purpose? ;)
