Blizzard will probably affect Bastkeball attendance tonight

Weather reports said dry streets in one hour, white out conditions the next. Perhaps not the biggest storm in a decade, but probably comparable.

Somehow I doubt the basketball game tonight is going to have a huge attendance as a result, but I suppose freshman can walk.

I was planning on heading down but the blizzard predictions probably will keep me home in Riverton tonight watching it on BYUTV (thank you Padre Island Inviatational!).

I do have a theory that storm strength is conversely proportional to the coverage given by the news. So this widely reported blizzard probably will be a couple of flakes overnight.

We wanted a white-out, right...just not this kind.

I'm in Cali, so I'll be watching it from home. Hope the "blizzard" doesn't affect the internet feed.

I'm in Orem and I'm waiting to see how it looks at 6:30 before deciding to head over.

Wont be hitting this one as the drive to and from Eagle Mountain can get dangerous in a blizzard.

Especially in a RWD hot rod like the one you drive, right? ;)

Yep, back in early 2008 during our train up to Afghanistan we got caught in one coming back from the ranges out on Camp Williams. Spent 6 hours on a bus of the side of the road while a road grader slowly made it's way out to us to pull us free.

Yeah, it took us several hours to get home. What a mess that was.

Solution: don't live in Eagle Mountain where you're an hour from anything.

In some ways being an hour away from everything is a great reason to live in Eagle Mountain!

I think it would be a great reason to live in Salem/Elk Ridge, but Eagle Mountain? Not so much. :D
