What happens to Yewtah if Kyle leaves?

I don't think anyone thought Utah would do as well under Kwhitt as they did under Meyer but they did at least as well.

With that in mind, should Kyle leave for Florida or anywhere else, who would the Utah Peacocks get and will it be the beginning of the end?

Get a new coach? I am sure Jim Fassell would love to come back.

If it were me, I'd go after Brady Hoke at SDSU. Dude turned them in 2 years from the dregs to a winning team, and he can run the same basic offense at Utah and just pick up where left off. I am sure a PAC-12 job appeals to many coaches out there. Whit has to be short list for that job, too. Tennesee wanted him, so he has SEC cred, th Florida pres is a former U pres, and Urban cam from the U also. Connections make sense on this one.

+1 Connections w/ Universities are like family blood lines. They have serious influence & pull. It will be interesting to watch!!!

Whittingham stays, Gruden to Florida

Whittingham has had and will continue to get opportunities to go elsewhere. Utah has always been a stepping stone program. He is only still at Utah because he seems to want to stay at Utah and passed up some big money to do so. But, I guess if you could make $1M a year and live in Utah and your extended family were all in Utah - it helps you pass those things up.

Many coaches have passed through Utah and on and up in the last several years - some better than others. They willo be fine as far as getting coaches goes. But like BYU, they will probably continue to go for someone on the way up and hope they are not a flash in the pan - take the risk - to avoid the $3-5M they would have to pay for someone that has been there and done that.

Florida, Texas, ND, etc., generally do not take that risk and just write a check. And that doesn't always work either.

Utah's issue moving forward will not be coaching - it will be schedule. Same for BYU.

If I were KWhitt, rather than take my $1M and play teams about as good as mine every single week in the PAC 12, and hope to survive unrealistic expectations of fans and boosters - I think I might take the $5M play 3 FCS teams at home every year and then play Vandy, and then play conference foes with fattened up records from them playing 3 FCS teams every year plus Vandy.

Then in 5 years, when he has made more money than he will make in 25 years at Utah - retire unless you are still having a lot of fun coaching.

Now Utah - if they are smart - no indication that they are smart though - gives KWhitt a raise - quick.

How blessed BYU fans are that Edwards, Chow, Bronco, Reynolds, and others have been willing to sacrifice to be in Provo. That is why I try to respect and appreciate them.

1. I don't think kryle is going anywhere

2. who cares about :utard: and what they do if kryle leaves? I can only hope they fade back into oblivion. I hope you enjoyed your 6 seasons of "tradition", :utard: s.

I am not sure it matters if Kwitt stays or goes. The Utes don't have a QB. The only reason Wynn was better than Cain is because when Wynn threw the ball no one caught it, as opposed to Cain throwing it to the other team. While the lines look decent on The Hill, the rest of the cupboard looks fairly empty. If they don't find a QB, the Ewets are going to get eaten up next year.

Who cares? I know I don't, and most self-proclaimed U "fans" don't even know who their coach is anyway.

Well you got it wrong, it is DC Muschamp from Texas.

Well Utah can breath easier. I don't think KW's wife will let him leave SLC.

Perhaps Miami should have made Mrs "don't take pictures of me" Kwhitt an offer instead of Kryle.
