weber st v BYU game thread

It's like we've decided to try to win this game without making free throws.

Why is it we play so differently on the road year after year? Launching 3's is not what an elite team does to close out a road game. You do that in the paint and from the free throw line (2 things which are terrible weaknesses on this team when we play soft and scared).

Weber St. is outscoring us this half by 5 points without their top scorer.

Take it hard to the hole and get fouled. That's how you put a game away. Thank you Jimmer.

does jimmer normally make 22 FG attempts in a game?



weber's Bamforth is 5/8 from 3 pters. he's only attempted one shot from inside the line.

Weber is dropping every three in that they shoot. unreal. its reminding me of the night mcnamara went off against the coogs in the NCAA tournament a few years back.

Sometimes it's wise to not play as aggressive as you do at the start of the game in the final minute...

Well, considering all the other stuff, I'm glad to come away with a win.

What are the stats for shots in the first half? It was Urroner ugly.

Weber shot nearly 50% from 3pt land. Bad defense, or Bamforth just had his game today. Davies and C Collinsworth both in double digits.

Well we won. Unfortunately only 2 players were able to make double figures (and that barely by Davies). We tend to play this way on the road but a win is a win come year end I guess. I really wish Rose would learn to devise an offense that relied on Davies more. I don't see any other way to be successful against UNLV, UNM, and SDSU. Launching 3's on the road only goes so far against that caliber of opponent.

That's because they are Weber's radio commentators. And Wrubell sounds like a BYU homer when I listen to him call a game. ;)

Both Weber broadcasters are blind and the color commentator can't even put a coherent sentence together. Really blatantly obvious calls that they thought should go Weber's way.

I love Rose, but he has really got to make some changes when it comes notching up the inside game. Hire someone, coach the bigs yourself, something! It's killing me. Davies could actually be quite dominant down low with some good coaching and game planning.
