We need....

Ohio State To Lose(Losing to Illinois)

Kansas To Lose

Villanova to Lose To Syracuse(Up By 11 with 14 minutes and change left)

Duke To Lose To Wake Forest

Pittsburgh To Lose To DuPaul

And UCONN To Lose To Tennessee

If even 2 or 3 of those happen, and BYU wins going away, then say hello to at least 5th place in ranking!

BYU or SDSU won't sniff the Top 5 until after they meet up on Wednesday. I wouldn't be surprised to see the winner land a #5.

I predict 2 Top 10 losses today and just hope BYU is not one of the two losses. Today is an opportunity to make a stmt.

I also expect 2 losses in the 5 teams ranked behind BYU which will continue to minimize any risk that someone jumps past us without BYU losing.

It is in our hands to move up a notch or two if we win Today.

yup - #3 lost to #7 at home. Nova will move up and stay ahead of BYU. Cuze will drop behind SDSU, but probably remain above BYU unless BYU blows out CSU with another 47 point outburst from Jimmer which is not likely - but could happen.

It is way early, but another Top 10 is behind as we speak. Unfortunately, Ohio State surived Illinois.

I still expect two Top 10 losses and 4 Top 15 losses today. And I still hope BYU is not one of those. One Top 10 loss is in the bag with 1 more to go. There is no question that 4 Top 15 losses will occur. My worry about the Top 10 losses, is that Cuze will not drop far enough for BYU to jump up and the other Top 10 loss might be # 10 and we are already ahead of them. But #8 could fall to Tennessee and that would be sweet - Tenn is up by 5 early.

I watched the last half of the Ohio State game. Illinois just played stupidly at the end. How is it that when you are behind with less than two minues remaining, you act as if you're trying to run out the clock? Then with 5 seconds left and down by three, they try to force it inside? It's like they were satisfied with being close.

That ucla loss makes little sense to me. I didn't get to see it, but wish we had that one too

We need to stop playing games at Pac teams in all sports, period!

BYU doesn't pass SDSU until we beat them and SDSU doesn't crack the top 5 until they beat someone noteworthy, which would be us. We win tonight we move up a spot, maybe two.

I concur. ;)

Texas is closing in on Kansas. Wake Forest and DePaul just lucky to be somewhere in range of Duke and Pittsburgh.

For a moment it's Texas over Kansas. Would be nice.

If Texas hangs on to Beat Kansas, I say we move to 7th, if we win, going into next weeks matchup against San Diego State University.

Tennessee didn't do their part today. Oh well.

What a 2nd half by Texas to win (overcoming a 12 point 1st half deficit) on the road.

I suspect Texas would leapfrog us.

Texas will jump BYU in the Polls. I expect BYU to stay at 10 come Monday. SDSU moves up to 5.

If we stay - that would be 9. I could see us drop to 10 - becasue #2 and #3 lost, but probably will not drop behind us. Nova could even jump SDSU. But, since SDSU is idle this week end, BYU and Jimmer need to plaster BYU and the MWC all over SportsCenter tonight and then maybe the 2nd of only two undefeated teams will move up as it deserves to do until someone (us hopefully) beats them.

I just don't know if any of that helps BYU unless we sweep our next three games - which we have a decent chance of doing.

Teams 10-15 are holding up better than expected and that will, especially Texas, give us some pressure from behind. Texas looks like a Top 5 team lately although they did not earlier in the season. They have had some big wins.

All we can control is ourselves - we just need to keep winning and the rest of this will take care of itself.

An expert was quoted as giving us a 73% chance of beating CSU. Lets round that to 70% and assume we have a 70% chance of beating SDSU, and a 90% chance of beating whomever is next in line. Statisticians will tell you we have a less than 50% chance of winning all three games.

I hope we beat the odds.

It won't be long before we know about the first one.

What Schmoe said. I actually would rather not subject our Cougars to the criminal whims of PAC 10 officials, especially against the tards and their fans. It would be best to refuse to play them at their house. And we certainly don't need the Utes anymore like they need us.
