What will SDSU try to do?

Well I didn't get the 18 point lead I was looking for and the aztecs played well but didn't disappoint and went flat in the stretch. Emery struggled but that steal and dunk was pretty. Davies stepped up and Jimmer—Jimmered the aztecs. It was without a doubt Jimmer time.

Now the question is, what will Gay say now? Wow, they are that good or wow Jimmer is that good?

Prepare to announce half their players were sick, demand money back from refs, and start having fans dress up as missionaries.

Another idea for SDSU, would be to simply let Jimmer get his and shut down everyone else.

Exactly what I would do.

Sweet! A 75 point game from Jimmer tonight!

And it's working for them in the first half. Jimmer and Davies have 28 of BYU's 30 first half points. Jimmer with 20. *smh*

The others better pull their heads out or this game will get away from them in the second half.

I think the Aztecs may have listened to our podcast, they came out and did exactly what I outlined as their only way to have a chance. Pretty much leave Jimmer one on one, let him get his, and stop anyone else from scoring. They did a good job of it, but had no answer for Davies. Combine that with throwing up wild outside shots and they couldn't hang with the Cougars.

I didn't notice it, but the guys behind me said they saw SDSU players pull themselves out of the game on multiple occasions cause they were out of breath. If that's true, altitude played a big role in our favor this game.

that would make sense given that SDSU significantly faded in the last 5-10 minutes.

This is correct. It happened a few times, and it was shown and mentioned on the TV broadcast. Especially for those assigned to guard Jimmer.

It wasn't altitude, it was just them trying to keep up with Jimmer, can't be done!!

It wouldn't have played out so nicely if any other cougar could hit a wide open shot besides Jimmer and Davies. (Noah, and Jackson - I'm looking at you...) They missed probably 10 wide open jumpers between the two of them...

If Jax, Noah, et al, had even had an average night, BYU would have won by 30.

Yeah, and up by 12 at the half...

I said to my dad "It's amazing that we are in this game with nobody else doing anything besides Jimmer/Davies, and Davies out w foul trouble."

For once - ironically - the national Jimmer pundits were right. He was a one-man team. Unfortunately, it happened on the one game they would actually be watching of BYU this year (assuming of course they could find the channel.)

I honestly thought that would be the only way any team could beat BYU was to press Jimmer, but focus more on stopping the others. I see Jimmer is Superman and can play 5 on 1. I know that's a bit of an exxageration as JAX definitely earned kudos with his defense last night as did Hartsock and Anderson. And Davies is a stud, no question.

Although SDSU may like to claim the altitude made a difference, they did beat NM on the road, but they are at an higher elevation than Provo. What beat them was BYU's fast paced tempo, which is what beats SDSU every season.

Yeah, we could have easily been down 10 at the half the way everyone but The Jimmer and Davies were playing.
