BYU's Spot in the Polls

So, will the Aztecs win coupled with a Lobos loss keep us in the top 10? Would like your opinions. Thanks.

They'll stay at 9 imo.

Not a chance. We will drop to 14 or so. The nation has been waiting for this and we were exposed as a team with one great player and one good player.



UNM is a terrible team and we absolutely sucked today.

Well, with just about everybody above BYU also losing today, they'll probably stay about #9, who knows, with all the losses, they could even move up a spot or two. Basketball polls are kind of goofy, there are so many games, I think the voters don't really keep track of them very well. BYU should get some votes for the SDSU win, and with all the "Jimmer" stuff that followed this week. I think the loss to NM will not hurt their ranking.

We'll move down, but just to 12th.

hopefully voters will remember that BYU played 2 games and beat a top 5 team in one of those games. But I'm afraid all they are going to remember about this week is the UNM game.

I'm guessing we drop down to 11th and SDSU ends up around 8th. We're lucky so many top teams lost today.



We are looking like a one-trick pony a lot lately.

Crap Shoot - But I think 10th. National media was kind to Fredette and not to harsh on BYU. Just win. That is all that matters.

BYU beat #4, highest profile win of the week for any of these teams.

Pitt lost on Monday night iirc. i.e. #2 also lost. And at least one team above us lost twice as did Cuze.

OK, so being the OP, dare I ask this....where do you guys think we would have been had we beat the Lobos and everything else went down just as it has. (In other words, everything stays the same with all those other losses, but we would have beat UNM). Where do you think we would have wound up??

#4-5 had we also beat the Dorkbos

I think we stay about 9. We'd be at 5 if we'd have won.
