Wow, that would be an absolute dream come true! I could be a bit biased since the only thing that comes close to my love of Jimmer is my love of the Lakers/Dodgers, but come on, you'd really be upset if our boy played for a franchise like the Lakers? The fans here would embrace him, we have amazing owners and he'll be given time to develop. Plus, he'd be amazing in the triangle (if it's still around) since he can get his shot off so quickly and from anywhere.

There are definitely worse places for him to end up... like a team whose fans mercilessly boo an outstanding character guy who needs to move for because his daughter is having serious health issues... or a team who lets their high maintenance point guard run off their coach of 23 years.

The Jimmer belongs in the City of Angels!

Ouch socal, sounds like someone doesn't like the jazz. I liked fisher, but his leaving Utah under the pretense of his daughters health was shameful. Does he go to doctors in LA? No, he flies her to NY. That's why he gets boo'd, not because he left.

Thank goodness no over-rated, snobby rapist on the Lakers has ever run off an impressive talent... oh wait.

I think you are mistranslating Los Angeles. Some experts agree the true meaning was lost a long time ago. Others believe that it comes from the German word for 'City of people who think it is way cooler than it really is, smoggy air and liberals.'

Wow, so much hate directed at LA. Come on guys, we're not all bad people like the S(T)DSU fans down south. All I was trying to say is that if you take a step back and remove your Laker hating goggles, it would be a great situation for Jimmer. LA hasn't had a legit point guard since... Nick Van Exel? I love Fish, but Jimmer is already probably better than he is. If Jimmer could learn under him for a year, then take over the reigns when Fish becomes an assistant coach... it would be amazing. Jimmer would get all the exposure in the world, which would be awesome. I know there are 20 other teams that would be great for him too... so lets just be excited for Him no matter where He goes.

jimmer, as a laker, breaking ray allen's three-point record.

Not so much hate, just general disdain. A couple guys I used to work with moved their families out of Orange county to Zion (TIC) and always complained about it here, how cold it is and so many white/mormons here. I would often ask in the middle of their ripping on Utah why they don't just move back home then. They would stop talking and try to not answer the question but would ultimately say they didn't want to live there anymore because of how trashy, unsafe and dirty (in every facet of the word) it had become. That's all I was referring to (and it was clearly a joke referencing anchor man) and not much else. I don't care for the lakers but I don't have any hate for anyone at all really.

Just messin' around radius19... While at BYU I even got sick of my fellow statesmen ragging on Utah. Really, I will be happy no matter where Jimmer ends up as long as he doesn't become an Adam Morrison. I highly doubt he will, I just want Jimmer on a team that he has a legitimate shot to make some noise in the NBA. And I know it was an Anchor Man quote, I almost said "we're not all as bad as the S(T)DSU fans down in the whale's va****... but seeing as it's my first day as a member of cougarcorner, I didn't want it to also be my last. There will be too many opportunities in the future to talk about my love for BYU and my strong dislike of the Jazz that I can't miss out on. :)

There's a guy I work with who is a raging Ute but is a jazz guy so like he and I can agree on the jazz, you and I can agree on the cougars.

I'd really like to see him with Oklahoma City. They're a team on the rise in need of a 6th man with deep shooting range.

Unfortunately, I think a bad team will reach on him in the 10-15 range.

My understanding of the conversation (again, I got this second-hand over dinner last night) was that the Lakers wanted him enough that they were looking for ways to "go after" him, i.e. move up in the draft via trade if necessary.

That's impressive. The Lakers will already have a 20's pick won't they? Like 25-ish or so. Maybe lower depending on how they finish the season.

Let's hope he does NOT go to Clevland.

Let the Lakers take Diva Williams off the Jazz's hands and they can pick up Jimmer. Doesn't matter if it takes a couple years to really contend again, his fanbase here would show up regardless.

Jimmer will go top 10, top 15 at the wost.

I wouldn't mind him going to the lakers because that means i would get ot see him play a lot on tv. its like collie going to the colts. while i am no colts fan i love being able to see him almost every week.

Every country in the world has a city that it picks on. In America, it's Cleveland. In Russia, it's Cleveland. In China, it's Cleveland. In Mexico, it's.....
