I think Jimmer is human. As such, he has to be noticing all the talk, feeling the weight of the fans expectations, and feeling that PRESSURE. Seriously, BYU fans, and the student body, are putting huge amounts of unfair pressure on the kid to live of to the hype of the "Jimmer". He is no longer Jimmer Fredette, he is just Jimmer. That pressure, that attention, that expectation has to take its toll. As a result, his play is showing it. His turnovers are going up, his assists are going down, and his shooting % is going down as well.

Jimmer is forcing things a little bit more in situations and not letting it happen. In particular, he is forcing shots in the lane a lot right now trying to get fouled, instead of focusing on finishing or setting up a teammate. 9 for 26 last game. 7 turnovers. 2 assists. And he has had more games like that the last 10 than earlier. Listen,, the kid is a great player, great for BYU, but he is not playing his best right now, and I think a good part of it is that he is really trying to meet the fans expectations on him, the national media expectations, and it is having an effect. How could it not.
