1 seed or bust...

byu probably needs to win out to get a 1 seed. some help from the top five stinking it up wouldn't hurt either. texas losing again today was great.



i am going to expect a 2 seed just becuase of the 'big' conference bias.

The good news, is that BYU at this point is probably going to be the highest #2 seed which should pit them against the "weakest" #1 seed.

I meant to post this other link as well to Lunardi's bracketology. It looks to me like the site locations are already tied to the seeds. All of the 1 seeds play at either Tulsa, Cleveland, or Charlotte (all Fri/Sun games). Unless Lunardi's site locations are subject to change. I have no idea if they are already pre-set, that's why I brought it up.

I may have to eat my hat and some crow. I really didnt think it possible and will still hedge and believe it when I see it. Lunardi just listed BYU as a 1 seed. Barring set seedings for fri/sun games for all 1 seeds, we may actually get a 1 seed.

Although Gottlieb just said "byu is still likely a 2 seed and maybe a 3." There it is--all sorts of non-believers particularly on the east coast.

I love it though. Keep on not believing and we'll keep on playing as the "underdog."

Lunardi is just guessing where teams will be. That is all. His new one, with BYU as the number 1 seed shows it as BYU in Denver and then the Anaheim bracket.

Gottlieb is an idiot. BYU has been projected as a 2 seed for months now. Anything less would be a blatant slap at BYU.

We certainly deserve a 1 seed. The announcers discussed during the game that only one other non big conference team(they wanted to say BCS but stopped) in recent history had been a 1 seed and that was Memphis. There is a ton of bias there but there is also too much parity among the top 10 or so schools and that will make BYU and the Jimmer star power even more attractive for a good bracket.

Thanks for the clarification. Let's hope this plays out exactly like that -- #1 seed, first weekend in Denver, then onto Anaheim. Can't beat that!
