Jimmer's POY shouldn't be in Jeopardy at this point. Jimmer has been the best player in college basketball for the entire year. He had no off nights this entire season. Walker took a month and a half off during conference play. Granted, he's on fire right now, but 3 weeks of tourney play does not a season make. If Jimmer isn't named Naismith POY, then it will be the biggest injustice since (you fill in w/ what you believe to be the greatest injustice of all time).

1280 the zone said a couple of weeks ago that the wooden award would be given out the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. thus while even with byu likely losing early on because davies was now out, that Jimmer would still likely win the award because it was given out so early. Well When is this award given out then?

And this should quiet all the attention on Davies. Put that one to bed tonight!

Yeah, I'm not sure Davies + "putting things to bed" are safe conversations right now... :P

Great win. Loved every second of that game because it was fun to watch. They have great players, we have great players, the refs called the game but didn't "control it" through wanting to be a part of it outside making sure people didn't get hurt and calling fouls when necessary.

Anderson played like a decent big man. Blocks/altered shots, rebounds, only 1 bad shot all game (granted he only took 2) and controlled his fouls.

Noah played game of his life despite foul trouble. Perfect from the field, solid D... what a game!

Collinsworth/Charles drove to the rim, were aggressive, hit the boards and didn't make many mistakes.

Jackson played phenomenally! His play was the difference in this game. His shots were clutch, defense on Gray was large (he shot miserably from the field for the game) and played within the flow of the game unlike last game.

Jimmer was Jimmer, high percentage from the field, 3 and free throws. Assists came because people made shots and he didn't have to force so much because of those open shots.

Jackson always seems to be the difference maker for this team. When he's on we BLOW people away. When he's not we have to grind it out. It's nice to see that Rose has realized that Anderson has a Pivotal role on this team when playing teams with HUGE guys in the middle that neither Magnusson nor Noah can defend well. I still think that if Rose had played Anderson in the first half of the MWC championship vs SDSU that things would have been a lot closer. When Anderson finally saw action in the second half the scale started to tip our direction it was just too little too late. I think both Rogers and Anderson will be needed vs Florida, especially Rogers, as I think the length and Athleticism of Florida will take Magnusson to school. I think Rogers would match up well vs Parsons but we'll see. Can't wait for Thursday though
