As a potential recruit, the Y offers a lot of intangibles that other schools don't have and yet they can play with the big boys. We may not have the 5-star players and recruiting hype, yet we get it done with fantastic coaching, players that understand and accept their role (no egos allowed) with their unique talents and a shared commitment to lay it on the line no matter what despite unfavorable odds. Few teams possess all of these qualities and survive, let alone enforce the honor code. This was a year of adversity, and yet BYU played extremely well and earned the respect of a nation. This year sends an example to all top-notch LDS recruits, that yes, they can be LDS and play for a top-rated team that can win in the Big Dance.

Still hurting from last night and how close we came to pulling it off in regulation. Quite frankly, had we been able to capitalize on the little things (missed layups, free throws, the loose rebound), avoided the Technical Foul and some questionable shot selection/passes, we win this game. This would have been terrifc, because again, we did it w/o our bigs Davies, and CC.

Looking forward to getting the most from our team next year and with the addition of some highly regarded recruits. We should be in the same position next year to surprise a lot of teams. Personally, I see us being much more balanced with more involvement of all the players and not relying on one superstar to make everything happen. We will be harder to defend.

First and foremost, thanks to Jimmer, Jackson and Logan. Those seniors provided a mental and physical toughness rarely seen in any BYU teams, regardless of the sport. There wasn't a game this year (except for the UNM game right after the Davies bombshell hit) where I felt like we were going to lose late in the game. I even had confidence in the Cougs late in the game against SDSU in the conference tournament, because I knew how much they wanted each win and how resilient they were. This team was really unflappable this year.

Thanks to Charles, Noah, Kyle and even James for stepping up and admirably filling the void left by Chris and Brandon. They couldn't have possibly defended or rebounded any better than they did, and they really made all of us believe that even though we didn't have a true, proven big man, that we could still make a run to the Final Four, so much so that I truly can't believe that they didn't.

Thanks to Dave Rose and Dave Rice for holding this team together and helping prepare them to play as well as they have. Thanks to these good men, and the other assistants, for developing these players individually and collectively into a synergistic team that was definitely more than the sum of its parts.

I know I have missed some people, but overall, thanks to BYU for putting a team on the court that we can be proud of off the court as well.

How refreshing to come on this sight and read all positive comments. I haven't come on until now and am very pleased with the level of gratitude expressed by all. Thank you everyone for not blaming any of the players or the refs for this loss. I also thank the team, everyone of them especially the seniors, for the season and their remakable integrity and cleanliness. In the offseasons this year and several to come when someone starts a "which is BYU's best" this team will always be in that discussion. Yes Davis would have gotten us at least one more game but so would Chris Collinsworth.

Besides Fredette I think Jackson Emery"s next year will be interesting. How many guards this year have his expertise as a defender?

It would be unforgivable if I were to not chime in with the rest of you on giving my stamp of approval to the best year of basketball I have ever experienced (and my first year at the "Y" was in 1967). Thanks to not only the players and coaches, but to Greg W. for his lack of objectivity and passion for the Blue, and to all of you, my Brothers in the Corner, for your insight, agonies, exultations, and commentary. I'm just honored to have been able to see it all unfold from afar. Amen.

Now let's go kick some pigskin butt!!!
