I think the whole conference affiliation can be an easy excuse for not choosing BYU, especially in basketball where Utah has been downright pathetic lately.



I know that with my background and family I wouldn't want to admit that I choose Utah because I could party there and not get kicked out. I'd definitely go with the "utah just has superior conference affiliation" line and avoid my real reasons. I'm not saying that that is THE reason Loveridge chose utah, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of person he becomes at the "u". Maybe it was just playing time and conference affiliation, but after what Jimmer just did, it's a weak sauce argument.

Good call. The PAC 12 Conference "thang" is just a peg he can hang his hat on. There are always 2 reasons why people do things. #1 The reason they will tell you. #2 The real reason.

I realize this news is a few days old but I just saw that Loveridge committed to Utah.....Well that sucks. Wonder if he'd jump ship if we landed in the Big XII??

I really doubt it. I don't think Loveridge wanted to be at BYU, regardless of conference affiliation. Doesn't add up.
