Expansions/Decimation

So it sounds like the Big XII is on life support. Should BYU join and ravage the MWC? Should BYU remain indy?



I can't believe this, but I'd rather talk about expansions.

I can't wait until BYU becomes an FCS team! We're going to dominate that division!

True, BYU is in much better spot than some schools. ISU has a boatload of money tied up in future spending based on their BigXII deal that they may not see and will have to find from other sources (Iowa taxpayers, higher tuition, etc.)

I really don't think BYU has any option than to remain independent. If Notre Dame stays independent then the notion of independence will retain some credibility. If not, then BYU risks evaporating into irrelevance, especially if they keep losing like they did last night.



Unless a major conference forms in the mid-west to western United States I don't think BYU joins a conference.

What is going to happen to the MWC? There's a chance they will get into the BCS due to the demise of the Big East depending on how fast the football landscape changes.

I see TCU, BYU, BSU, ND, going to the BIGXII I could also see them picking up Louisville, remember it is not just football, Basketball is also big.
