[GAME RECAP] FINAL: BYU 17, TCU 10
The BYU Cougars defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 17-10 on Saturday evening at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. BYU leaned on a stifling defensive performance and a late fourth quarter touchdown drive to secure the hard-fought road victory in Big 12 play.
BYU held TCU to just 245 total yards of offense while forcing two critical turnovers. The Cougars scored the go-ahead touchdown with four minutes remaining in the game on a short run, capping a drive that chewed up valuable clock. The defense sealed the win on the final possession by intercepting a desperation pass near midfield.
The victory improves BYU's record in conference play and keeps the team positioned in the upper tier of the Big 12 standings. The Cougars return home next week to host a conference opponent at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
