Been thinking a lot about our recruiting momentum lately while watching Puka and Fred put on absolute clinics on Sundays. When high school kids and their parents visit Provo, Kalani and the staff aren't just selling the facilities or the culture anymore. They get to put on the tape of Puka shattering rookie records for the Rams or Fred locking down the middle of the field for the 49ers. Kids want to know they can reach the league, and seeing our guys dominate at the highest level is the best proof we can possibly offer. When you add what Kevin Young is building with the hoops side and guys reaching the NBA, the whole athletic department is a machine for pro development right now.
Pro success is the ultimate recruiting pitch
Spot on! Seeing guys like Puka and Fred dominate on Sundays changes everything for our recruiting. High school recruits and their families see that the path to the league runs right through Provo. Kalani and the staff can show them proof instead of just promises. Big 12 opponents better watch out because our pipeline is getting stronger every single year. RISE AND SHOUT!
That NFL pipeline is huge for football, but seeing what Kevin Young is building right now with NBA spacing and five-out sets is gonna change the basketball side completely. When elite guards and wings like AJ Dybantsa look at Provo, they see an actual NBA playbook instead of some antiquated college system. KY can literally pull up NBA Synergy clips during an in-home visit and show how our secondary break mirrors Phoenix or Philly. Recruits want to know they won't have to completely relearn how to play basketball when they reach the league.
