Mars, thanks for posting the link. My brother is gay, and left his wife and family. The concepts of accepting in the conclusion of the blog post were really helpful.

My point is, "addict" is a temporary label, not a permanent state of being, so while it's useful to clearly identify that you have a problem, anyone who really wants to change that will at some point separate the tendencies they have from their personal identity. What's the first thing they say in AA meetings? Hello, my name is Bob and I'm an alcoholic. Not past tense. present tense. Addict is not and can't be a temporary label no matter how many years go by. Addictions are not cured in that the temptation goes away. The ability to fight them off is what is gained with help. Our society thinks that someone can simply "go to rehab" for a few weeks and they come out "cured". that's laughable. The moment an addict thinks they're cured and can relax, that's usually a few days away from a relapse.



I wonder if you know any addicts and could talk to them. I don't think a single one would ever use the word 'cured'.

I have been thinking about this gay issue. In the last few weeks I've noticed a lot of positive articles on homosexuality. The last I remember was a line on msnbc which revealed a soccer player had declared he or she was gay. I empathize with those of them that have been persecuted and disagree with it. What I don't go along with is the promotion of it. As far as I'm concerned they have their life and can live it as they see fit.



A thought has come to me. When a famous person declares themselves gay it makes the headlines. When a famous person commits a homosexual act it is never reported as gay or homosexual. Today the Sandusky case is on every hour. He molested boys. That is gay/homosexual. Frequently we hear about other sexual predators like the Catholic priests who have assualted boys. That is gay/homosexual. If any of you have heard any reference to homosexuality in these cases please reveal your source. I have never heard any of these incidents referred to as gay/homosexual.



If you have the courage to promote your sexuality, have the courage to admit it has problems.

Is raping little girls therefore heterosexual and more "normal"? I think when it comes to kids it is neither gay/homosexual nor heterosexual. It is just deviant and wrong.

Pedophiles are sick people. Even hardcore criminals detest pedophiles. Pedophiles are just wired wrong - major malfunction.
