See, Coach Smart's plan to rest Jimmer for five games paid off! Now we can look forward to Jimmer playing a lot again in 10 day or so.

This is a great rotation plan for Jimmer by Coach Smart.

Apparently neither RGIII nor Jimmer are black enough....

This made me LOL out loud

How are Kings fans reacting to the coaching decisions? Those life-long fans who didn't know much about Jimmer before he got to the Kings. Do they recognize the absolute incompetence?

Haven't follow it that closely but there has been a Free Jimmer Twitter campaign.

Seems like mainly by BYU fans, though. But I haven't followed that trend much either.

how about starting a petition to trade him. Get 100,000 signitures and Obadma will look at it.

Well, he's got nothing else to do since the weather is getting bad for golf. So when he isn't flying to another state to golf he could look into working out a trade for Jimmer to go to another team not so "rich" in PG's. Seems like it would be right up his ally, fairness and talent redistribution and such.

Just checked some of his current stats:

He's 7th in scoring per 48 minutes. In the top 40, there are only two other players averaging fewer minutes.

He's 39th in PER. You have to go all the way back to #104 to find a player averaging fewer minutes

There are a LOT of disgruntled fans in sactown that want to see jimmer get a good bare of minutes. If only just to see what he could do with them. They have already seen IT and Brooks.

IT has the occasional hot game, but he is a below average shooter imo. What he offers is quickness and penetration.

Brooks offers almost nothing. He's just another ballhog on the biggest ballhog team in the NBA.

Year 1, Jimmer was the local joke. The Sactown message boards took on an Us-vs-the-Jimmer-Cult theme. This year? They are frustrated that he doesn't play more, and more consistent minutes. Same with Isaiah. They are frustrated in general with too many guards, too little game-to-game substitution pattern consistency, and mostly, too much losing.

Most that I've seen are frustrated with Brooks. They think he has no reason to be playing, much less starting, and think that IT and Jimmer deserve more time. There has been some outcry for Jimmer to start and play big minutes because of his PPM and +/-, but I can't say if those are exclusively Jimmer fans or if Kings fans in general have started to recognize the immense talent that's being wasted on their bench.

My wife and I were at the game Monday night with some friends. We had great seats 11 rows behind the Kings bench. Jimmer didn't disappoint! He electrified the crowd, and his team when he was on the court. He created for himself and his team. The Kings were a better team with him playing. When he wasn't in they looked like a team with no direction (kind of like church ball!).

Phoenix is one of those teams that could use a Jimmer, and his resume looked great on Monday night. Maybe he will get traded here. I'd love to see him play every night, and I guarantee that there would be no DNP coaches decisions if he were in PHX.

I love the suns. Since the cluster that is Robert Sarver has gotten into full swing, I have almost completely stopped keeping track of them. If they traded for Jimmer, I might start paying attention again.

First post on cougar corner! Feels good. I hope Jimmer can find his way to a team that's a better fit for him and has some unselfish players willing to pass to the open man. As a Wizards fan (yes the lowly wiz) I would love to see him end up in DC. Think he would be a great compliment to wall when he comes back. Just some wishful thinking by me.

Welcome. Would love to see him anywhere but the dumpster fire that is he Sacramento Kings.

Still averaging a point a minute.

Great game again last night. Jimmer actually showed some defensive aggression for once--this is my biggest criticism of him; I just wish he would go for steals and show more hustle for rebounds because he has the smarts and instincts to fill a stat sheet every night.

Someone explain to me why it takes Coach Smart 3 quarters every game to figure out that Jimmer and IT is by FAR his best combination?

So Jimmer leads the team in scoring and assists in the 1st half. Kings up 27 at one point. Jimmer plays no minutes in the 3rd and the Knicks cut it to 7. Jimmer finally gets back in and now the Knicks have the lead.

It just makes no sense. Smart truly is an idiot. He does not make lineup changes no matter what the circumstances are and Jimmer rotted while Brooks and Thornton squandered the lead.

It really is inexplicable.
