Not looking so hot tonight against the Pistons, but not really his fault. He's gotten about 5 minutes of play. They haven't really thrown the ball to him, so he jacked up a really long three and missed it. On defense the ball hasn't really gone to his man much so nothing to report there.

So Jimmer came in halfway into the third quarter and didn't come out until 24 seconds were left in the game. Sacramento was down three and they needed a defensive stop. They didn't get the stop, gave up a three and then he came back in. He almost single-handedly got the Kings back into the game. If I'm not mistaken, he scored 13 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter.

And I can't believe I just watched an NBA game. But hey, it was The Jimmer.

Jimmer played a great game but especially the 4th quarter. If Smart had any brains he would give Jimmer early mins to get his confidence going. Once he's on he's a 20+ ppg scorer even in the NBA. I actually believe this now after having seen him light it up the last month in limited minutes.

I've continued to watch Kings' games and Jimmer has looked terrible. His defense has been atrocious.

Yea I've been checking out the box scores: shooting 0-for a few games in a row along with the D struggles

Yes, there's been that too. I was just commenting on what the box scores don't show.

:-)

It's tough when you're getting the kind of sporadic minutes Jimmer has been. I'm praying for the team to move to Seattle and leave the coaching staff behind.

perhaps Jimmer's streak was more about looking good for a trade. now that the trade ideas have pretty much been nixed (publicly at least). Some significant motivation is gone?

Part of him was probably thinking that. I certainly would.

Thing is there's still a chance he'll get traded and to do so he'll need to keep playing well. Shake it off, Jimmer.

In an ESPN Insider article about sophomore NBA players this year Jimmer was placed in the category of "good-to-great shooters still working on being good players". Also in that category were Klay Thompson, Brandon Knight, and Marcus Morris. The author of the article (David Thorpe) had this (among other things) to say about Jimmer:

"...Fredette looks like he's going to be one of the top shooters in this league for years....there is not a team in the NBA that does not value, or need, a shooter like Fredette."

I like seeing Jimmer get recognized but man I hope he gets a chance with a better team/coach soon.

After going through a little slump, Jimmer seems to have pulled out of it. He's 8-17 and 4-5 from three the last two games.

22 easy points in 22 minutes for Jimmer. He helped carry the Kings to a 19 point lead in the 1st half. Of course he was benched all 3rd quarter and the Suns came back to take the lead that they would not give up again.

The racist pos coach knows no bounds when it comes to showing up Jimmer. Amazing. I sure hope Jimmer finds a way out of there.

Is there anything other than Jimmer being white and not playing that plays into all the coach Smart is a racist sentiment? It seems to be a major theme here and on the ESPN message boards. I've never heard an arguement for it though other than JF playing time.

I check the box scores and look at the highlights of the Kings games but I never get to see them (I don't have cable so the NBA is pretty dead to me).

He's the same Head Coach who kept Jeremy Lin on the bench in Golden State so there's that. Don't think I'd go as far as to call him racist but his rotations are, for a lack of a better term, wack.

He's a racist.

Better term- undiversified.

Sure, benching Lin is also part of his history. A few players have never seemed to like Jimmer as well. You can tell by the fact that they never pass him the ball no matter what. Cousins and Tyreke come to mind. It's a horribly dysfunctional team and that starts with the retarded coach.

It is obvious that Cousins likes Jimmer, a lot. But no, that doesn't mean that he is going to give up a dunk to pass the ball back out to the perimeter.

Jimmer didn't play the first half tonight, and the Kings have only scored 30 at halftime. Coincidence? I think not!
