Nashif was taking notes..."Oh, so that's how you break down a full court press."

I love how well Zylstra did. Apparently he just needed 4 years and a post season to fulfil his potential. Hopefully Cusick will come through next.

Great game! We broke a 30 game win streak on So MS home court. And, we just didn't survive, we dominanted.

Zylstra was key. His outside shooting kept the foot on the gas early and never allowed So MS to get in the game.

I pleased to see Haws be patient with the ball. Very good shot selection by him.

Calino was masterful. Takes him a few shots to get dialed in but once he's dialed in he's unstoppable. All those claiming we don't have anyone that can split defenses off the dribble need to go back and watch this game.

Davies was solid. While he didn't dominate offensively, he was a force down low defensively. His presence was a huge factor in So MS missing all those easy buckets down low. Don't under value that. Offensively, So MS was doing a great job at keeping Davies out of the post. They weren't giving him an inch and as a result the closest he could get was 10 ft. Sure, Davies could have tried to force things a bit but some credit needs to go to So MS for keeping Davies away from the hoop. The good news is the rest of the team responded.

Austin was great. Good defense. Good cutting to the basket. He was where he needed to be.

Again, I don't know why Rose didn't go with this lineup from the beginning. Imagine how good and in sync this starting five would be if they'd been playing together all season.

My observation is that Carlino has emerged as the leader that this team needed. That second time he threw the ball away trying to get it to Kaufusi was a pivital moment. Instead of fuming he went to half court and told the team where he wanted them and the press was easily broken from then on. Way to go Matt. This is your team now.

I saw the same thing too, and ESPN highlighted it. At least half of Carlino's turnovers this season can be attributed to getting jammed and having to throw the ball away because the players aren't moving to the ball. This should be addressed by the assistant coaches, but it was good to see Carlino do it. (I don't think the assistant coaches are any good.)

Carlino is getting rid of the ball much sooner and dribbling much less and thus getting jammed much less
