BYU vs. Yewts game thread

How come Utah always has more talented big men than us? I'd take their big white guys over Austin, Miles, Plaisted, et al any day.

That's basically the game plan every night for BYU, it usually just works a bit better than this.



BYU has NO half court game these days.

Wow. Thought BYU was going into half down by 11. Felt much better than down 13. This is like a repeat of the UNLV away games in 2009/2010 that felt like BYU hadn't prepared at all. These are the games where I wonder why Dave Rose gets so much respect but Mendenhall gets slaughtered for the same thing.

Although I do agree with you about seemingly being under-prepared for this game, the answer to your question, is because Dave Rose has beat the snot out of the Utes for years while it has been the opposite for Bronco.

Because we apparently judge our coaches based on how good our rival is. The Utes have been atrocious in basketball for years now.

+1. Sorry if I don't care about 1 game a year, especially in bball where utah has been about the worst team possible. Setting the bar pretty low if all you have to do is beat a high school utah team.



If you are right jacksonman, it will be sad to see fans turn on Rose after all he's accomplished.

embarrassing. BYU didn't scout this utah team. Doesn't know who the shooters are, don't know how to attack their defense, is getting manhandled, looks flat, This game was over about 3 minutes into the first half.

It's amazing that BYU could score 110 at Stanford and will barely hit 60 in this game.

It sounds like BYU just expected Utah to roll-over.........we should have been pumped for this game . LAME!!!! Can we forfeit now

AND.... it's amazing it took this long for a team to figure out that if you camp a guy who can hit threes and play well on the baseline, you break the entire BYU defense. Haws, Mika, Austin.... poor defense in the frontcourt.

I thought these boys were already forfeiting. ;-)

I am done watching this team. They don't have any guts. When playing on the road they just fold because there is no leadership nor is there anyone who can truly ball--except for KC and Mika but those 2 might as well be Shaq at the FT line, which pretty much negates their offensive abilities.
