I am done watching this team. They don't have any guts. When playing on the road they just fold because there is no leadership nor is there anyone who can truly ball--except for KC and Mika but those 2 might as well be Shaq at the FT line, which pretty much negates their offensive abilities.

What an embarrassing game.

Lil' bro BYU getting their butts wiped by another Utah team.

Too bad that it was utah who figured out that if you just hack collinsworth and mika (and you will get away with some of those) that you shut this team down.

Sadly this team has some fundamental flaws like defense and ft's and will end up with an NIT worthy resume.

BYU offense = drive, throw up ugly shot, hope for foul and then miss FT's.

Ugh, Jekyll/hyde Carlino drives me crazy. We needed a solid performance from Carlino tonight, but this is one of those night that Cusick would have been a better option.

That is a scary indictment of Carlino.

BYU is the same team we have had every year since Emery and Jimmer graduated. Decent post game with no outside shooting. Easily beatable. Until we find some guys who can extend a defense with outside shooting, teams will just pack the middle and dare us to shoot from outside. This team will be lucky to be 3rd in the WCC and make the tourney.

Obviously Carlino is 10x the player that Cusick was, but man, tonight someone that could get the ball up the court and hit an open three would have been useful.

i'd take their bigs over our any day. Those guys make everything and they play freaking D. Unbelievable.

The last time we had guys who could consistantly hit an open 3 was in 2010.

That's where we belong right now........I can't believe our team is so suckin' bad at shooting FT's and 3PT's. It doesn't help when Haws and Carlino don't show up when we need them most. I can't wait until Fisher is taking Halfords and Winders minutes next year............I'm so sick of 3PT shooters not doing their job consistently.

Absolutely. Defense is what Bigs need to be able to do. Especially on this BYU team which is oriented towards a guard offense.

Yep. I had high hopes after Stanford, but this is BYU football of the early 90's. We just cannot get stops, ever! So once we're down it's game over as this was in the first 3 minutes.

No team like this will ever dance and they don't deserve to.

It's easy to defend inside when you have no fear of anyone hitting shots on the outside on you.

Pretty weak sauce flagrant 2.

True. Just wait for the ugly, out of control, no looking for open teammates drive and swat that thing out of the kitchen.

How in the world was that a flagrant 2? Are my goggles really that blue that I can't imagine that decision?

How to guard BYU:

Mika: make him go left, but he still has a good chance. Foul hard to put Shaq at the line.

Haws: deny and make him go left because he can't.

Carlino: make him go right and play the shot because he never passes off a drive.

KC: do i really need to explain? Play 10 yards off and give him all the cushion he wants to shoot. If he does get around you foul the crap out of him because he's Shaq at the line.

Austin: he is our Rodman except Rodman could at least score from under the basket. Let him shoot every time he touches it.
