Rose made a mistake by sitting Carlino and MIka in the first place. Austin and Sharp out there at the same time? What the hell... You have two players on offense that have absolutely no desire to shoot the ball, or even have it in their hands. That was just bad, bad, coaching.
With a double digit lead Rose started resting everyone midway through the first, which I understand, but you have to make sure that you get the win, and when USF made their run Rose was too slow to get the right guys back in. He didn't have the right guys in until the last few minutes, and then it was too late USF had momentum and went in ahead at half. Rose was a subsitution nightmare last night.
I am not sure why Haws is on the bench and Sharp is playing in his place for 5 minutes down the stretch last night. Why not play Carlino and Winder (or Halford) and then slide KC down to guard Dickerson, instead of Austin or Sharp. KC can defend as well as either of those guys, and he actually has a chance of scoring and/or rebounding on the offensive side of the ball.
Coaching mistake, after mistake, after mistake, after mistake.
It is amazing to me that he hasn't found the right starting lineup this late in the season for the 3rd year in a row. This is the time to be finalizing your chemistry, not starting a new one. That showed down the stretch in that game. Teams just don't score for 6 minutes at a time. That almost loss is on Rose, and the only reason USF didn't win is BYU easily has twice the amount of talent they do.
You should put the hyperbole like "BYU has easily twice the talent" right up front to provide posters a hint about how much bias they are about to encounter.
In your mind, who is most incompetent - Rose or Anae?
It seems ironic that after listing all of the glaring faults of the players that continue to bet out your favorites, you then conclude that even with all that ineptness, BYU - easily twice the talent.
