I know you are kind of being TIC here but in all seriousness, I don't think it does. We still remain in the "last 4 in" in most people's prediction brackets which IMO means we are out. BYU needs to win the WCC to get in IMO. We just need tonight's win and we are in. If we lose, I predict NIT.

Odds are in our favor that we're in, we now have a sub 30 RPI and in the last 10 years only 2 team with a sub 30 RPI haven't gotten in and they both had sub .500 records in their conference.

We're in barring a 30 pt loss to the Zags. That being said... let's win!

I hope you are right. I have just seen the ncaa committee screw BYU so many times I am a huge skeptic about them getting an auto bid this year with all the bad losses we had in conference this year. If BYU can get projected to be a 6 or 7 seed so many years and end up a 12, then if we are projected an 11 seed we don't get in. BYU needs tonight's game, then we know we are in. If we lose, I don't think anyone should be comfortable that we get in at all.

My thought is that the NCAA has to reward a team for schdulig a tough nonconfernce schedule. If they don't, other teams will simply stop scheduling tough non-conference games. I think that the NCAA reenforces its position by having BYU in the dance either win tonight or lose.

That said, I've got an "In-n-Out" wager with my friend over this game. BYU wins and he buys me a delicious double double. BYU loses, and I'm paying 5 guys prices for an In-n-Out burger (I consider 5 guys prices to be roughly double)

Either way, I win in that im going to In-n-Out. I just prefer not to be the chump paying!

Also, HUGE props to the BYU players. They picked a great time to have their best FT shooting night of the season.

Their previous best FT game came in game #18 when BYU went 30-38 (.789). The Cougars were 24-28 (.857) last night. That was an 8.6% increase over their previous best effort, that's a fairly significant increase.

Well done!

I like 5 guys burgers, but I still think a double double is significantly better than anything 5 Guys has to offer.

Really. ESPN announcers said we were likely to survive the bubble even if we lost last night. Anything is possible, but BYU is most likely in. Personally, I would rather win a couple of home games in NIT if MC were available. But it is not.

I suspect we're in win or lose tonight.

That said I have never been a fan of leaving one's fate up to others. Besides, I'm tired of it being Gonzaga or SMC. Time to asert ourselves a bit more.

I could be wrong, I am not denying that. I get a little tired of bib's condescending attitude at times. My opinion is simply because I am not comfortable with BYU always being "last 4 in" since in my experience BYU is always way lower than projected.

Totally agree. We are still on the bubble. My guess is if we lose tonight and make it to the tourney it will be as a play-in, which I don't want. Win tonight and not only are we in but they can't give us a play-on game.

Why isn't there a guy on #12 making him turn at least one time down the floor the last two USF possessions??? Unbelievable.

There is someone. It is Winder and he is getting BURNED. I have been telling all you "Winder is a beast defensively" people that Winder is a step slow defensively. Most guards don't have a problem getting by him, which is why he always tries to slap the ball out from behind them as they pass every time.

It is quite possible that ESPY staff researchers did homework.

totally agree that BYU gets shafted on seeding almost every time. I do not recall them getting shafted about getting in or not getting in. I have not read an expert opinion saying we are out if we lose tonight. If we get blown out - sure. But then we would deserve to be out.

And if we get NIT or a play in game - maybe we get a win or 2.

ESPN wants us in due to our offense and entertaining style of play. We are in the tourney. http://www.bracketmatrix.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has us on 83/96 brackets before we won the game.

That spirited rally after KC went down prevented a blowout loss that would have required serious effort to overlook.

I am sick thinking about that injury - not sure how BYU recovers quickly. Surprisingly, the rally helped take my mind off of seeing KC writhing in pain in the floor.
