I've heard a rumor, but this is TOP SECRET so don't tell ANYONE, but I've heard that the LSU offensive coordinator (his name escapes me right now) is highly interested in the Texas Tech head coaching position...

Wrong! They would be really really good next year, and then doomed to a sub .500 record until they fire Crowton.

I was one that felt that Crowton would eventually be the head coach at a BCS program.

I don't think Crowton was really ready for high level college head coaching when offered the BYU job, but how do you turn down your dream job at that time. He's been a couple different places and has won a national championship.

This may be his last shot, and if he's learned from the past, he might be ok.
