Luckily not a single person on this thread has said that if Matangi were asked back by Bronco they wouldn't want him, at most, people have questioned why other fans are wanting him back so badly given his circumstances. I haven't seen a single link or quote that shows Bronco had any interest at all in having him back. So I guess we are all in agreement.

Give it a rest with all the "thou shalt not judge" crap. This is a fan site and we're talking about football. We're allowed to judge all we want in regards to what we want and expect from our team. I personally don't want a lazy, underachieving thief on my team. His teammates simply don't trust him. Why would they?

He can take care of his soul on his own-maybe he already has. But, as a football fan, I want what's best for my team and I believe that is to have a cohesive group that trusts eachother and wants to go to battle together without worrying about whether he remembered to actually lock up his locker or whether they're teammate is going to execute his assignment at a higher level.

I guess it's time to lock this thread and move on. Last I talked to Matangi he wanted back into BYU badly, but that was just before he ended up at Snow College. Good luck of him in the PAC-10.

Once again your basing your opinion on things that happened in the past. How do you know bringing Tonga in would destroy the cohesiveness of the team?? That's pure speculation. Dude was a monster for his JC team this year. Enough so that he has an offer from USC. Don't you think it's possible that maybe he's changed his work ethic and might be living up to some of his potential?? Don't you think his improvement to our defensive could possibly bring the team closer together?? Hey, I'll let him steal my wallet if he can actually sack the opposing QB and I guarantee he's better than a bunch of our current D-linemen.

I'll let Bronco decide and it looks like he did. I think he has a policy that if they don't make it in when offered in High School that they don't get a second chance.

The red kind of cougar. I guess that's still too vague. The Texan kind of red cougar.

According to Dick Harmon:

"He was offered by ASU's coaching staff but according to reports, the administration intervened and refused to allow Matangi a scholarship."

Geez....if ASU (#1 party school in the country) has their administration vetoing the athletic department to keep you out, you got problems. Whether behavioral or academic, I have a hard time believing someone who the ASU administration rejected would make the cut to get in the door at BYU.
