You prove your foolishness once again. Whether or not Jordan was on an IV doesn't matter to me. You still have no idea what Jordan or Jimmer felt. I never even discredited Jordan. If Jimmer played through mono and other ailments that's enough for me not to question his desire or toughness. Walk in his shoes and then talk.

Uhhh, he didn't play through mono, he sat out quite a few games because of it.

Bracket updated this morning, here: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology

Has BYU at a #4 in the East, with UNM a #2 in the West. WOW! UNLV is a #7 in the South and SDSU is a #13 in the South. SDSU is securely on the bubble as Lunardi's last team in, too.

BYU at a #4, even now, is great. Need to get to the conf final to lock that slot up. Have to.

I'd say win the conference tourney MIGHT get us a 4 seed. Maybe I'm just setting myself up for a surprise rather than a letdown on selection sunday.

Man, IMO a lot of those 5 seeds are looking weak. Gtown is probably the toughest of them, but still is overrated IMO. I would love to play the other 5 seeds in the 2nd round of the tourney though...Gonzaga, Maryland, Wisconsin...I feel pretty confident about playing any of them.

never a bad idea, until proven otherwise the comittee has never been all that kind to our Cougs. maybe they'll be nicer this year feeling guillty for the unprecedented selection of A&M as our first round opponent two years in a row.

Why is Kansas St. a 1 seed with an arrow moving them up? They just got dominated by Kansas.

Latest bracket is out for March 8. Lunardi has BYU as a #4. UNM is a #3. UNLV as #8. SDSU is right on the bubble still, but in at a #13. Let's hope these 4 make it to the MWC semis together. They should.

Neither UNM or BYU are in the Salt Lake regional bracket...? First of all we'll get handed down to a seven seed and play FAR FAR away from home... I am already mad at the stupid selection committee...

Yay, look who the match-up is, Illinois, who has an ogre of a man playing at the C. Not sure of the exact height, but he is over 7'. And not one of those crappy 7 footers either (cough* Foster *cough), a legit one. We would get that kind of match up come Selection Sunday.

Lunardi has nothing to do with the selection committee. This is just his projections. His bracketology is nothing, but interesting. Until all conference tournaments are over no one will have a great projection of who will play where and what seeds they'll get. If BYU wins the MWC tourney however we'll most likely get a 3-5 seed.

I think we lock up a #4 by making it to the tourney final game, and UNM at #3 by doing the same. I do not see us going higher, but I think we could drop to a #6 if UNLV beats us in the semis.

Looks like Lunardi updates his brackets today to reflect the Conf tourneys last night. BYU is now a #5 seed in the West region. UNM a #3, UNLV stays a #8 and SDSU is still a #13 right on the bubble.

If BYU ended up with this actual seed and route to the Sweet 16, I would be happy. Really happy. Easiest route to he Elite 8 and beyond, actually.

This would match us up with Siena a year early. They have been the rumored team for Great Falls, NY next year.

besides the fact that we can't beat them...is there an injustice to this? What if we had won both of those games? would it still have been wrong?

Yes, because they were far and away the toughest 8-9 games, it was unfair for both us and A&M. UNLV was the same seed and got to play KENT ST!

If we had won both games again Tx A&M then it would have been unfair to THEM.

As of march 12, Lunardi now has BYU as a #6 seed. UNM is a #3, UNLV a #8 and SDSU is a #12. SDSU is probably in now as other teams played themselves out of it yesterday.

Let's hope BYU wins tonight and can then knock off UNM. We need to to get that #4 seed.

I can't understand how he drops us a seed in winning our game last night. What did he do with all of the Big East folks that were upset (our firewall won't allow me to see the ESPN Bracketology at work)?
L

Georgetown jumped us. The other Big East teams ahead of us stayed ahead.

We dropped REAL fast, REAL quick. Lunardi lists his "S Curve" history when you click on each team. Basically it's a history of what total seed your team is each time he releases his bracketology. 1-4 are the top four seeds (your No. 1s) 5-8 are the No. 2s, etc. Here's BYU's S-Curve history:

S-Curve history: 33 (Nov. 9) this is an 9 seed.

66 (Dec. 15), This is out of the tourney.

22 (Jan. 4), This is a 6 seed.

17 (Jan. 11), this is a 5 seed.

13 (Jan. 18), This is a 4 seed.

12 (Jan. 25), This is a 3-4 seed.

12 (Feb. 1), This is a 3-4 seed.

16 (Feb. 8), This is a 4-5 seed.

14 (Feb. 12), This is a 4 seed.

15 (Feb. 15), This is a 4 seed.

14 (Feb. 19), This is a 4 seed.

14 (Feb. 22), This is a 4 seed.

12 (Feb. 26), This is a 3-4 seed.

13 (Mar. 1), This is a 4 seed.

13 (Mar. 5), This is a 4 seed.

20 (Mar. 12). This is a 5-6 seed.

So after being a solid for 4 seed for nearly six weeks, a ten-point win over TCU at a neutral site drops ups 7 seven spots and nearly two seedings?
