What I love is that I feel like we won it as a team, Loyd stepped up when he needed to, Emery was off but hit a clutch three, Tav hit some clutch shots, Miles played good D and Davies played with intensity (though nervous), etc.

This is why you gotta have faith to the end, and not be a spineless, hopeless, faithless sack...

Ouch. That hurts. I guess I deserve it though. Lately, I've been setting myself to feel like BYU will lose (because it hurts so bad), so that when they win it's that much better and if they lose my whole week isn't ruined.

AWESOME win but our interior defense will HAVE to improve against K-State

Once again, we won despite Tavernari's ill-advised and errant 3-point heaves. The guy needs to ride the pine the rest of the way.

I don't think I've ever been as excited to have a player graduate as I am for him.

Haha, it's ok, I've got us picked to lose a close one to K-state for my bracket's sake, but I KNOW we can win and I won't give up faith until the final buzzer sounds.

I was surprised we didn't try Taverani at the 3. He was too small at the 4. Or just not play him at all. Miles needs to grow a pair and roll to the basket hard and expect the ball.

I couldn't agree more. Fredette had more points...but without Lloyd's performance, we lose. Our only points in OT - got us back in the game in the 1st half...Lloyd's the man.

AMEN - JT almost cost us the game with 2 ill-advised shots late in the game

Tavernari's problem isn't that he takes the 3 - its WHEN and HOW he does it - early in the shot clock, falling backwards, off balance hand in his face. Again and again and again.

It's like he's in a 4-year-long shooting slump.

It's like a 4 year long shooting slump with a great shooting percentage.

From what I have been able to watch this season, it seems to me that Miles has just gone down hill all season. The first game I saw him play I thought "wow, if Miles plays like this they can be really tough because he would be an actual scoring threat if you double up top". Now I just hope he doesn't get the ball because he hasn't been making great decisions and he has no confidence in his own offense. Not the kind of player I like to see with the ball.

This is right on. The stat sheet doesn't always tell the whole story. Statistically JT may have shot better the Jimmer but you can't argue that Jimmers makes came at a more crucial part of the game. JT's quick 3's to start OT1 were very ill advised. There was a reason JT didn't play in OT2 and that doesn't show on the stat sheet.

I don't know about you but I feel great about life today. It's like a huge weight has been lifted. ;)

Agreed. And the team can now play nice and loose on Saturday - no pressure!

No slow start for us - we'll play great as an underdog on Saturday, enroute to our complete domination of the West bracket.

Congrats Cougs! Wow, what a game. There were a couple of times where I turned to my wife and said, "We're not going to pull this off," only to have Loyd literally turn the game around. Loyd was definitely the game changer. Getting 5 fouls on Boyton and the injury on Parson (?) was huge in the 2nd overtime. Nice work Cougs!

Now, I hope they come out hungry tomorrow and satisfied with just one win. I agree, with the monkey off their back they can play much more loose now, but I hope not flat.
