Not really fair to pull that single post and display it out of context. It was fairly inline with the flow of that thread and I stand by what I said at the time I said it, in the discussion it was posted in. But that's old news now.

Did I miss something in this thread, Ryker Matthews committed to BYU because he could drink/eat caffeine and not break the honor code?

Which is exactly what we saw with your twin brother zachsooners last year just about this time.



Reign, you're still one of the good ones. A little misinformed as to BYUs honor code, recruiting, and of course way off on your QB U argument, but nothing we wouldn't expect from most UW fans.

You can imagine how we'd be accepted if we went to UWs forum and told them that we're QB U, and what a UW recruit can and can't do.



The true test is what your true colors are in the next 3 weeks. I assure you that unless the refs blow the game that most of us are all class after a win or loss; assuming that you keep your cool.

Most Oklahoma fans were very classy last year; i was almost shocked with how cool they were; and I was at the game.

Fair enough. I am agnostic or maybe even atheist, but at the same time I am not here to give you grief for your beliefs. Obviously since I am coming from a different point of view, we will see some things differently, from a different angle, but I have no intention to be a jerk to any of you because of a difference in opinion on some subjects.



I do try to push back a little when you guys throw a little mud our way but it's all in good fun, I don't mean anything on a personal level.



I can tell you one thing, no matter what the outcome is, I can't wait for the season to start 8)

I'm starting to come around on Weber. Freshmen need tough love, badly.



I think at some point, we'll hear the story on what convinced Ryker to make his decision. Aside from the obvious friends he has on the team, I suspect he had some sort of epiphany. (I also suspect that Jake Heaps is a part of the story)

You might want to consider siding up with some U fans, because they seem to make lockerroom talk and actions as well as taking offense a lifestyle. So apparently, Ryker loves Coach Weber and has been to many BYU practices. I don't expect Utah to completely lay off recruiting him but I get the impression that Rykers decision is bigger than conference affiliation etc.



This is a great get, a thoughtful and patient kid that apparently just loves football. I'm stoked. Give me Joe Sampson and Harvey Langi and i'll be on cloud nine. Give me Joe Sampson and I'll call this class a success... (unless Bingham gives up a single point this year)

Funny thing, is the 1st year, a lot of us were down on Weber. Apparently he just needed time to get into his groove. I love position coaches that can naildown recruits. (I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Brian Mitchell because of that; the Cotton Bowl never happens without his boys)

But yeah, Blair Tushaus does NOT like Coach Weber's workouts...

scout has the utah kids all wrong this year. ryker was by far and away the best lineman at the all poly camp, the byu camp and the utah nike camp... it was almoast as if scout acted to keep him under the radar until BYU got him.

Rivals has him tied with Langi as the best recruit in Utah this year.

Or if its RB by committee and the next unga does not emerge this year?

Adam Hine is back next year. Dude was a 4*, and I think many BYU fans forget about him. Sampson is more important to me than Langi. Just sayin.
