I like Beck but I just don't understand how he keep getting paid in the nfl. He has the physical ability to be great but has never put it together but they keep taking a chance on him hoping he can get it together given his physical gifts.

Sound like Max played great. Sorry I missed it. That is very good news. Love the fire in Max. Too bad we can just mix the strengths and weaknesses of max and beck into one perfect qb.

If you watched the game tonight, you would know that Beck had some brilliant throws and his receivers were TERRIBLE for him.

Hall: Came in in the 2nd quarter, had 3 series, led the team to two touchdowns and a field goal. Led the Cardinals in passer rating (120). 7-of-9 for 126 yards. Only Cardinal to lead the team to a TD today, let alone two. Those 17 points alone outscored Washington by 7.

Skelton (NFL draftee): Came in in the 4th quarter, 0-3 passing with an interception.

Leinart looks to be gone: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/09/02/matt-leinarts-preseason-ends-quietly/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Big Kudos for MAx. Couldnt be happier for him AND lets not forget that the Redskins are a horrible team.

I understand that schmoe. I didn't see the game and i see from the posts there were a lot of dropped passes. But i have seen most of his other games he has played in and i stand by my opinion.

16/28 232 yds 2tds 0int. I think this shows what he can do when he gets a chance to play with some talent around him.

The one time that he's gotten a chance to play during the regular season he was thrown to the wolves on one of the worst NFL teams EVER.

That my friend sums up hall's byu career. he is good but sometimes throws into a crowd. will always be that way. put hall on a team that has a solid defense and he will be a good starting qb in the nfl.

Hall right now is the anti-Leinart. Leinart is afraid on every throw; timid and with zero confidence. Max is playing like a 3-4 year vet with a bunch of 2nd and 3rd string guys that you can expect to make mistakes, yet he's still making plays. [/quote]

I think you nailed it right there. This article from NBCSports calls Leinart captain checkdown. He lacks confidence while Hall is filled with it. Max may have an ego but so far it has served him well.

It looks like Hall will make the roster and maybe have a chance to compete for the starting job in a year or two.

EDIT: One more thing. I think Max will have to work on staring down receivers. It seems like he has a problem with that, which may not be a big problem against 3 stringers and when the opposition isn't watching film on you, but as a starter you will get eaten alive if you do that.

Oh the topic of Kehl, he made a couple of great plays. There was one classic Kehl play when a CB and S blow a tackle on receiver who takes off down the field. Kehl comes flying in and chases the WR down from behind.

Then on a 4th down goal line stand he comes flying through and tackles the RB just in time. Both can be seen in the NFL.com recap. Although Giants fans say he wiffed on a tackle on special teams (SO DON'T PLAY HIM ON SPECIAL TEAMS!), but I couldn't find the video.

No love for Max on SportsCenter. I'm enjoying my day off, laptop and iphone in hand, watching ESPN and waiting for the Max Hall highlights. They only mentioned Matt Leinart and Albert Haynesworth - not a single Max Hall highlight. I understand those two guys command the press attention right now, but not a single highlight? Lame (IMHO).
