Most definitely! What a great run on the 2pt conversion. Strong. Persistent! Nice!!

Now who do you bring in next series? Heaps or Nelson?

I vote Nelson, he has some rythmn. Let Heaps have another chance 1st possession of 3rd Q.

We need a score and to finish off the half here.

If Nelson engineers another TD drive to end te 1st Half I think he should start the 3rd too.

Go Cougs!!!

Is that touchdown Joseph?

I think he's predicting a fumble recovery by BYU!

I wasn't too keen on BYU calling a timeout there.

Sad performance on defense at the end of the half.

To think, that all came because a 3 & long from their own endzone.

I'd feel a lot better if BYU were getting the ball to start he second half.

Defense has GOT to step up. I hate playing from behind.

I am not sold on this two QB idea. It seems to me it is stopping them from getting into any type pf offensive rhythm.

UW gets it first in the second half...We're going to have to do things differently in the second half to win this thing

Who would you go with for the 2nd half? It is definitely Nelson who's performing better now.

I think we keep Nelson in as long as it's close. If we get behind multiple scores and need to manufacture quick drives, I'd say we give Heaps a shot to see what he can do.

Not disheartened, but a bit anxious. Our defense is going to have to pick up the slack. That's the thing you sacrifice with the 2 QB thing- if we'd have gone with one, then than one would have a bit more experience by now. Now, I think Bronco is in a bit of a bind. I say go with Nelson as he is the one who has the score so far.

We need some great special teams play, a turnover. . .and teh crowd. For pete's sake, it's in Provo. Let's hope the crowd can make some difference.

Few thoughts from the 1st half:

1) I don't love the 2 qb system. I would rather see something modified of a 2 qb system where both are in at the same time or Riley comes in on an "obvious" running play and throws instead or something like that. I don't think the 'every/other' series is keeping WA off balance. I think it's keeping our QB's out of rhythm.

2) I am less than impressed with our o-line and the running game behind it. I really expected a more potent running attack.

3) I am frustrated that we cannot zero in on our deeper throws. McKay was wide open on one and there were one or two more where they were just poor throws but very, very little deep threat action.

That's all for now.

Let's go out & kick some husky butt in the 2nd half!

Go Cougs!!!

Nelson. He may not have the same arm but he seems much more comfortable and is making better decisions.

Right now the D is the bigger problem in my mind. 3rd and long and they give up a long run up the middle for a first down. Why does our D at times look so slow it drives me crazy.

Not a fan of the 2 qb system, but a fan of the 2 qb's!

Heaps had a pass dropped in the endzone by wilson. Not perfect, but catchable. Right now I go with Nelson, but he is not a throwing threat. See that 3rd and long die, and the reciever had to go down and get it? That is a first down if he can catch and turn... That said, we seem to be doing better by spreading out the field. Nelson to start the 3rd, unless UW scores.

I AM SHOCKED AND APPALLED AT THE DEFENSIVE PLAYCALLING! WHY ARE WE LINING UP 12 YARDS OFF THE WIDE RECIEVER?????????? LOGAN NEEDS TO BE RIGHT UP ON HIS GUY, BECAUSE HE IS NOT CLOSING FAST ENOUGH, AND CANNOT - I REPEAT - CANNOT TAKE HIS GUY DOWN.

I am hoping for a half-time adjustment, but that doesn't seem to exist based on last year.
