Excellent Game. Like I said, stop running and VTech can't stop you guys. And lol at an ACC team trying to make a last minute TD drive...will never happen.

Only challenge left on the schedule is Oregon St in September. Win that and they coast to the BCS championship game.

That's great for the Broncos, but not great for those that want a playoff system. After all, if a non-AQ BSU can get to the final game then why change anything?

Sincerely,

BYU fans who rooted for :utard: in 2004 and 2008

I have no shame in admitting that I rooted for Utah to win those games.

If you think that makes me less of a fan than you than so be it.

Lol, I didn't mention anything about how much of a fan you are. There's just no reason to root for BSU... it doesn't help BYU. We are no longer in a "non-AQ" conference, and BSU doing well only helps the MWC. Who cares about the well-being of the MWC anymore? I know i don't.

I agree with tripwire. Personally, I hate the BCS, and that does not change no matter where BYU ends up playing (either independent or in a BCS conference).

Oregon State midseason on the smurf turf.... it's a done deal if there aren't two other undefeated teams left standing.

The reason the BCS would want to change is the fact that they end up being forced to share with the poor. At that point, they give up and create a playoff to increase everyones payday and then create some rules to try to keep out the poor again.

If BSU goes to the National Championship game and wins, I think the MWC has a renewed chance for AQ status. You know as well as I do that that would suck.

Now we see how this game actually means, meaning how does Va Tech do after thi loss, do they dominate from here on out? Or do they lose composure and lose a lot. If the hokies don't win, the pundits will use that as an excuse to keep the broncos out

Kirk gave them lots of props but still denies them the NC. "They are still in the discussion that is all" They ignore what they did last year beating Oregon and TCU. With 20 of 22 starters back, it is the same team.

How does BSU's success affect BYU? Shows the non-AQ can play. On the other hand they are competition. If we can beat them in 2012 it would look better for us.

Because we are no longer proponents of the MWC reaching AQ status in the BCS, who gives a @#$ about BSU? It doesn't matter. BSU doesn't matter unless they are playing BYU or we need them to win or loose at the end of the season to make BYU's chances of advancing in the polls better. Until that happens we don't care.

Great game but we are no longer enamored proving we belong, we blaze our own trial of domination over the BCS teams now. Speaking of which FSU is looking really tough, their kick returner/punt returner is going to be tough to stop, Reed I believe.

I suspect non AQ success benefits BYU, so it does matter. we all create opportunities for ourselves and others in the same boat.

sorry i just dont agree. First, i feel that the ACC is a weak football conf. Fsu will run the table with little trouble. If Va Tech tanks and they will this win means nothing. Thats the prob with pre season polls. Teams are always over hyped and some teams under hyped. How many times has VA tech been in the top 10 early and dropped a early game. Sorry iam not impressed with this team, i for one iam not drinking this kool-aid. Ore st lost to TCU and will not be ranked when they play BSU. So, that means they beat 1 ranked team, sorry that does not put you in the NC boat.

I think BYU is addressing these concerns by going independent. And if BSU was in the MWC this year, they get that shot if they run it because it means they beat VT, Utah, BYU and TCU and OSU. Boise's problem is that they play 2 tough games a year only, and the WAC raod schedule is cake, which really hurts them. You need losable road games on schedule, and need to win them to earn that respect. If it is 4-5 tough games a year, things change fast for them. BSU has 2 tough games which hurts them. Plus, talk is Nebraska called and offered a 2 for 1 and they said no, which hurts them since they complain about not getting big games, but they will not take that deal. Sorry, but that 35,000 seat stadium is an issue. Needs to get to 55,000+ to get home and home with big teams. BYU just tok a 2for 1 with Texas and 2 2 for 1's with Notre Dame. Not ideal, but we took that risk. BSU will get a BCS bowl with their formula, but not NC respect, and it is due to their wn formula.

I would put a 1 loss SEC team and 1 loss Big 12 team in over undefeated BSU. Not TCU though. If TCU runs it, I put them in over BSU due to a tough road win in Utah. I rate the VT neutral field game on par with the TCU neutral v. OSU. And TCU still has BYU, AFA and SMU on schedule, all winning teams. BSU has nothing close to that at all.

I like Kellen Moore and think he's a good QB, but did anyone else think he has a very awkward looking release?

For BSU I think you have to include their record from last year too. It is basically the same team. Next year they will lose a lot of seniors. Too bad we don't have them on our schedule in 2011.

I think he looks like he's 12.
