My own opinion

Chambers has terrible hands, is really slow, makes terrible decisions, cannot stop talking $H!# even when he does absolutely nothing. I have been saying for two years that he is the most overrated player BYU has ever had. Seriously if he would quit talking to the DB's and maybe catch the ball for once he might be ok. In three years he has yet to get behind a DB despite his supposed amazing speed. I'm venting but I would love someone to disprove any of these facts. Please please do ....

Been saying the same thing from the beginning. He undoubtedly is the Trent Plaisted of BYU football!

I feel your frustrations, but I don't think we should turn on our guys after one game, especially when everyone looked bad.

I agree, chambers dropped one ball in the endzone at the end of the game, so that's where you're focusing. But he was far from the reason why we lost.

One game? Its been three years of him doing nothing! Well he did return a punt against Utah, but ok 1 thing in three years!!! Everyone here has been talking him up like the second coming of austin collie. He is not gooood.

Here's another one for you, JJ is not the answer at running back! bad hands, makes bad decisions, and fumbles. This isn't just because of today, the guy has had so many fumbles over the last 3 years, I'm absolutely terrified every time he touches the ball. Why in the world won't the even give the other guys like Quezada a shot? they let him catch the balls but not carry? What is up with that?!?

Our receivers are struggling to catch the ball...and our QB can't get it to them anyway.

Chambers and Diluigi have Fumbilitis.

Quezada needs a shot.

Our Defense is young and has A LOT to learn.

Our Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator are average on their best days, and couldn't make a halftime adjustment if it would save their children's lives...

On the other side of the coin you can't be too predictable about that, ie always putting Nelson in when you run an option play and Heaps in when you are going long.

I know Anae gets blasted a lot, so I am going to pile it on. I really don't think he has the creativity as an OC to make the 2 QB system work.

Totally agree with you on the QB situation. Riley is the situation, Jake is the main stay.

how about more passes to the RB for both QBs? I have not seen much of that this year. Let's see how well Juice catches out of the backfield.

I think saying oneill hasn't done anything makes you look stupid. He consistently gets us in good field position on kick and punt returns. He has also been a valauable wide receiver. Have you seen him block? He is very physical and generall has good hands.



Has he made mistakes? Yes, but everybody has. Who is going to replace him, hoffman? Hoffman will be good in another year but he usually looks pretty lost out there. chambers is further along with his routes. I think he should stay where he is and we should get a quarterback out there who can actually take advantage of his talents as well as jacobsens and all the other great receivers we have.

Sigh...I thought by leaving cougarblue and coming here I'd be escaping such rational posts based on "fact."

I see no "facts". Only non well thought out opinion.

Over the last couple seasons, I've witnessed Chambers drop a few balls here and there, fumble a few times, and fail once in a while to run the right route. But, I've also been witness to some very good plays involving him in other areas that did not include ball possession. As in his ability to put a good block on the opponent whether it be the corner, safety, or a 'backer, he is fearless! Yeah, so it takes him almost 10 yards to get the afterburners going but, when he does there is a fair amount of speed for him to work with. I recall how fast he looked up against the Oklahoma defense last year, especially on both those slant plays over the middle. If, I was to give Chambers a knock on his playing ability, it would on his consistency to perform at a high level. The kid has heart. If the coaches can find a way to appeal to that heart, I'd feel pretty confident that we'd see greater sustained level of higher play from him. Just my oppinion, though. That and a buck fifty will get you a Diet Coke.
