Pathetic! I haven't seen this type of offensive futility ever from a BYU team.

the 3-0 lose to utah in 2003 is the closest I can think of.

What's he gonna do?

Also throw to receivers that can never get open? Or that drop the ball when it hits them right in the hands?

The problem is a lot bigger than Heaps

Bronco needs to take over the defensive playcalling, our guys aren't in position to make plays.

Y'know, why not? We have nothing to lose and probably nothing really to gain either. This team just sucks. Why not throw out the practice squad? Could they be worse than 10 pts/game?

It was TIC, but he has badly missed some throws this game.

Based on Bronco's comments this week prior to the game, it sounds like he knew this was coming.

It seems like the TEAM has given up on this season. I see nothing even close to determination or grit out there. BYU is doing absolutely nothing to assert themselves.

Could we have played an uglier half of football this season? The defense looks as bad as the 2005 season and the offense looks as bad as the 2004 season, even worse.

The last thing Heaps needs is to be pulled after 6 quarters as the starter.

And his receivers have dropped at least 6 passes just in one half.

Here's where Heaps can play loose and forget about winning. Just get the offense together and LEAD them.

It's one thing to stink it up. It's a whole other thing to actually plan on it. What is up with our head coach?

Why? Heaps is clearly not ready to be out there. He should have 2 picks right now (one for a pick-six) and BYU should have 0 points. I'm hoping he turns out great, but he's not the answer this season.

Pretty obvious who USU was thinking about when getting rolled by SDSU

Sorry, but Robert Anae is getting exposed as a play caller. Utah freaking State knows what we are going to do every play. Coach Anderson has outschemed us in this game. And it does not help that our receivers and TE's are the worst unit BYU has had in forever. Heaps is not looking great, not horrible, but seriously, who is getting open? It is pathetic to watch, but BYU has no answers and I blame the offensive scheme. Coach Anae hid behind great talent for 5 years, and now he can't, and this team is bad, unorganized, not close to looking like it can score over 20. Sorry, but the coaching this year is AWFUL. Both sides of the ball. The sit back defense sucks, we play with no passion, no aggression, and we look slow as a result. WE look bad because we are bad, from the top down. We are awful. Simply awful. We will be lucky to get to 5-7 this year.

That's one way to protect Heaps  (not play him at all)

From his body language he doesn't look ready to take on that sort of challenge. He is looking very timid out there. Here's hoping for an entirely different 2nd half.

Heaps is a true freshman who up until the Nevada game only got half the snaps in games and in practices, and he is surrounded by slow, un-athletic wide receivers who can't catch the ball.

What's the rest of the teams excuse?

Even our "trick" plays have ended up with us throwing into double coverage. Something must be painfully obvious about this offense.

The offense has gotten worse every single game. I was hoping that our consistency in practice the last 3 weeks would lead to improvement. As of yet we're going the wrong way.
