Do BYU fans storm the court vs SDSU?

I was hoping they wouldn't do it going into the game if they won, but after seeing the win and the fans crowded on the floor, it was a BEAUTIFUL sight.

That was sweeter than storming the field after the overtime win over the :utard: in 2009. Wish I could have been at the game, but fortunately I could watch the game in Oregon.

Sounds like we have some volunteers to co-write Miss Manners newest release: "Stormin' the Court and You: The Guide for Civilized Celebration".

I think Wrubell said it was the first time for BYU to beat a top 5 program since the 60's. Just enjoy the moment and be spontaneous. A great win and I'm glad to hear the fans enjoyed the victory with the team.

They should figure out whoever gave Jimmer that slash on his back and go all mobster on him...

At home, I think that's true. I think it's our first top 10 win at home since the 60's, but we beat #6 Louisville away from the MC a few years ago...

The police were overzealous last night. You know how people get hurt in a human stampede (which is what storming the court is)? When they're being pushed by a mass of people behind and fall down and then get trampled over.

Memo to police: if the fans start storming the court/field, let them. Trying to knock them over or grab them is a poor strategy. There was one fat policeman who was literally body checking students trying to knock them down so he could grab and throw them back behind the rope. That's a real good way to get someone hurt. That's a great officer right there. A true servant of the public. Here's a human stampede and I think I'll knock someone to the floor in the path of it.

I agree that often the police reaction to a mass mob pushing forward can cause all sorts of problems and cause more than it eliminates and that the chucky policeman should have handled it differently, but I don't think that was much danger from the mob last night of trampling on somebody, but Kitic, you were at the game (I am sooooo jealous) and I wasn't.

BTW, I love the photo of Jimmer behind the press desk and the crowd cheering him filling up the court.

Hilarious. Nice one kitic. I missed the throwdowns, I was too focused on watching Jimmer.

I thought storming would be almost silly before the game. But as I watched mostly the student section and some wild kids (and a few adults) storm, I thought it was fitting. And at some level a compliment to the fans view of how big a game this was--which includes sdsu. They are tough.

But overall, It was almost a heroes tribute. I seriousy thought fans would hoist him on their shoulders.

Sno's concerns were warranted, but Jimmer was safer in our throng of fans than he was running the gauntlet of sdsu defenders over and over again. Saw replay at home. Nice gash aztecs. Nice no call on that gash play, refs!

Actually some kudos to refs also. They didn't affect the outcome of this game. Not too many tickytack crap calls. That was my biggest concern.

Yep a much better strategy for the police would have been to create a little buffer around the players so they don't wind up the ones being trampled.

That was my only concern, but when I saw how slow the court was being rushed, my fears dissipated.

I am still annoyed that the fans stormed the court. lame. its sdsu folks. it was a big win, but still.... its sdsu and we won by 13.

So now when coach says, "stick on him like a Gay man." He means "slash his back with a box cutter that you hide in your shorts."

... got it ...

Or if no box cutter is available/allowed just don't cut your nails for about a month or two...
