My understanding that is not the case. What got tossed were emailed votes (though I don't understand that). It appears the IT guys get into the website and view the number of votes cast. It is over a million.
I could be wrong. Any sources to your information? I have been following the ROC tweets and CB postings for info.
It appears the script worked in ousting UCF last weekend.
My source? The actual voting page.

Since the 24th, no email registration votes have been counted. Read the terms and conditions where they can change the rules if the "integrity" of the voting process is compromised.
You act surprised that BYU could have beaten NDSU (UCF?) without scripts. I think we ousted NDSU last weekend because we had more votes than they did once the script votes were omitted. You can even see how upset NDSU fans are about the fact that once the script/email registered votes were omitted, what was a nail-biter of a race turned into a laugher with a 56-point overnight swing--the swing was a result of the contest managers throwing votes out, not a result of CougarBoard ingenuity as that board insists:

UCF was up 73% to 27% over UT Pan Am the last night of voting, but in the morning when the script generated votes were cleared out, UT Pan Am ended up winning.
Given BYU's fan base, there's no reason BYU shouldn't win every round when the one vote per person per day rule is enforced and scripts are sidelined. Did you really think we were in an honest mano y mano with the Bison of NDSU???
If you're using your own email on every entry, you're wasting your time because only one vote per day counts, if they actually accept them. If you are using fake emails generated by a script, you're wasting your time because those are being omitted.
We're currently beating the mighty University of Texas Pan American (who?) because we have an enrollment of 30k while they have only 20k and no real athletics support culture, not because we have clever scripts. It's the same reason we'll beat Arkansas State (16k) or Western Illinois (13k) in the final round. If they had comparable student bodies and fan bases (which is a factor of # of alumni and sprots culture, of which good football is a BIG part), you might expect closer battles, but 69% to 31% seems about right when scripts are thrown out.
