Football is about standing tall one on one , it's you against the next person at your position to help the team win if everyone wins their battle when one on one then you win not the other way around, no emotion no drive, byu football should be called let's worry about or wives during the game obviously our boys heads are not into the game when we are getting beat by the air force! oh and by the way lets see if we can break 500 this season

1. Football is not about "standing tall one on one" that would be wrestling or skeet shooting or the 100 meter dash.

2. AFA is a damn good football team this year, did you not watch the BYU game or the OU game vs. AFA? AFA has a shot at beating TCU and Utah this year.

3. By the way we've been breaking 500 for 30 years dude, look it up. BYU is one of the top 5 winningest programs in the nation the last 4 years.

4. If OC had a wife and a kid he probably would have more focus and determination to make it to the NFL. In my business I would not hire someone who wasn't a husband and a father, nothing motivates a man more than wanting to provide and protect his family.

I hope OC exercises some patience. I can imagine this is a difficult time for him but he has been here 3 years. I'm tired of everyone talking about race and religion, the kid can have his best year THIS YEAR for crying out loud. He just needs to be patient, get through the next two weeks, and work with Heaps. I guarantee you he will not be in this same position at any other university if he were to transfer. He is a 'go to' guy at BYU RIGHT NOW, he just needs to let this young team mature around him and follow the rules and be patient. If he has the courage to do the right thing and stay he'll do great.

I'd love to see Chambers play in the NFL. But from what I am seen so far, I do not see it. You gotta catch the ball and make plays when they come your way. Can't drop passes in the end zone you should catch(AFA game x2). can't fumble punts(UW), and catches across the middle(OU, FSU). Ball security is a huge part of playmaking.

The kid has talent, but not seen it translate to plays enough. When he had his chances, many times he has not got it done. No one is perfect, but this an area OC could improve on, and I guarantee he would agree.

Let's make this easy.

Do we lose production if OC leaves? No.

He may be a decent "athlete," but as far as I'm concerned, he is not a D1 receiver...maybe he can go MMA or something. He has zero open field moves and has the acceleration of a turtle. His one gimmick is to spin on first contact during kickoffs. Although he runs the slant pattern okay and blocks at an above average level. I've got nothing against him and am simply being objective as I am actually much more disappointed in McKay who is the only other offensive player that anyone had expectations for this year besides Fatt Reynolds.

You guys who are making excuses for Chambers will be the reason he fails if he does. True friends encourage each other to work harder to succeed, not quit and go home when things get hard. Chambers is a great athlete, but there is a reason he is suspended and it has nothing to do with his talent. If Chambers wants to succeed, he needs to make whatever wrong he got suspended for right and become stronger for it. If he quits and transfers, I will guarantee you that he will NEVER see the nfl. I have never seen a guy quit and make it to the NFL...Never. BYU is the school he chose and needs to be the school he succeeds at. If he can't succeed at BYU, he will not succeed elsewhere.

Im sure he gets hell from his closets friends instead of excuses I believe botkin that's what Florida people do if you screw up your gonnna hear about it, since you know so much tell me why he was suspended and tell me the real reason dont give me that bs that bronco is trying to pull to cover his ass in fire, it's okay chambers I believe in you even if no one else will out here, you knew we were gonna love ya then hate kiddo, such a sad thing to see well we know byu won't be getting anymore big time wr's for awhile hell maybe even qb's too if we keep it up at this rate

I don't know what he did and Id don't care. It isn't what he did to get suspended that matters, it is what he does to correct it. Bothkin in no way has Chambers back if he is encouraging him to quit and leave BYU. Being a quitter will never help a young man succeed in life. Steve young wanted to quit, he even called his dad and asked if he could come home. His dad said "you can quit, but you can't come home because we don't let quitters come home" Steve stayed and look at his career. Chambers doesn't need to quit and go home to play at UCF or some other florida jr college. He needs to make whatever wrong he did right and work harder to succeed at BYU. If he does that, he has a shot at the NFL, if he quits, I can promise you he will not make it to the NFL. I have never seen a quitter make it to the NFL.

My bad professor, I forgot I was getting graded on my online posts, for that I highly apologize for giving you a headache for speaking facts v.s. some of your opinions. From now on I shall make sure it's edited for you, I forgot you got all day to sit around and bash someone when 9 out 10 you never actually played football, maybe the water boy. So I'm sure you've got plenty of time to analyze what I post . :)

Here's hoping OC gets it together and dominates for BYU the rest of this year and all of next year.

I don't know why he would leave considering that Heaps should be one heckuva QB by next year. OC, with a chip on your shoulder that size, you're going to have these sorts of issues no matter where you go. Love the energy. Just need to focus it now.

silencer, we put up with you when you were posting on 5-6 other Chambers threads under different names (I'm 1000% positive it's the same nonpunctuating moron from the last years worth of Chambers threads; in fact could we please check an IP address and ban it if it's the same one). Now please Lujuan or Jonothan (whatever roommate you are), just admit who you are and why you're posting and we'll forget that you can't formulate a thought to save your life. You embarass your blood.

Listen pal I was trying to help you out. Look through this thread, have I given any negative opinion at all on Chambers?

No not once. I was just telling you that if you really want to get your opinion across then you need to make it readable. That's all I was saying. You understand that?

Or you can continue your tirade of misspelled words and run on sentences and have nobody take you seriously at all. It's up to you really.

Very interesting; I'll have to go back and check those previous posts with the unintelligible threads; it looks like the same m.o. to me.

Silencer,

I was not saying OC should start a family. I was merely defending the the members of the team that you had previously condemned for having a family. In my opinion, having a family is very motivating and helps our players maintain some focus off the field.

You keep saying WE this and WE that. Are you LDS and are you a member of the BYU Football team?

Best Regards,

Just when I thought it was the end of the world you guys always manage to crack me up! It will have to get better hell the way I look at it the odds are against him anyway but the greatest thing is he is beating the odds at his age!

#1 he is not in jail calling to be bonded out

#2 he doesn't have a baby mama

#3 he hasn't robbed anyone

#4 he hasn't commited murder

So I think in my shoes we are doing ok!

My disclaimer "WORK IN PROGRESS" GOD is working overtime with many other things and may have thought he can miss a visit. On a serious note just prayer for all these fine young men trying to do the right thing, especially mine he is a good hearted person just needs lots and lots of prayer not bashing! Without that we have nothing. Just look around the devil is hard at work. We all live in glass houses so we should be very careful where we throw stones.
